If you make mods then that will not affect the basic functionality of the game and therefore you will not get OOS errors as soon as you disable your mod. The files in your mod folder should have an identical hierachy to the public mod, and the game will prioritise reading from your mod folder instead of public mod. The game only searches for the necessary files in public if it can't find the correct files in your mod folder.

that works. Extract it and delete the original. You might need to restart the game a few times but when it runs stabily that is when you can start making changes. I recommend just tweaking the damage values slightly in the template xml files to begin with, so that you don't break something and confuse yourself. That was how I started. Note that once you tweak your xml files you can't play in the lobby anymore; you will always get an OOS error because the templates between you and your opponent are different. Therefore I recommend preparing to reinstall the game before starting this.

Just get a NVME M.2 SSD and you are ready for anything. If you are extra fancy you can go for PCIE SSD. NTFS has the worst performance out of all file systems second only to FAT32, so no matter how they optimise it any Linux or BSD system will smash them easily in performance. Unlikely for them to remove graphics effects. They think their customers are stupid, and the sad fact is, a lot of them are. People spend extra money on the looks of their systems and chassis... when you don't know any computer science... Dude, wouldn't it be easier to allow users to install xfce or gnome or kde on their windows system?

64GB is not optimised for tablets my friend. A lot of tablets have 32GB or 16GB emmc disks, so Android is the way to go here Windows 11 is said to be more optimised for gaming... they say they got some SDK component installed by default... I doubt that will increase my fps in 0AD 4v4 TG. Let's not even talk about aesthetics... who are they to talk about appearance when they can only have one desktop environment?

Good idea, some adaptations: 1. By default most soldiers are mercenaries, but they train almost instantly. This makes them worth the price. 2. Gelo's reform unlocks citizen soldiers, then you have a choice between the two: if you need emergency troops then you cna still spam mercenaries, but if you are poor and not under immediate threat you can go for citizen soldiers.

Right now this looks almost identical to Athenians, with a useless mercenary hoplite. I will change the roster and I will see if I can use assets in Lopess's zip folder.

This is going to be a mercenary heavy civ, which means a lot of metals will be used. Therefore it is best to have some bonuses related to metal. Alternatively, we decrease the metal cost for Syracusans and replace that with something else, say food or wood. Metal mining *sigh
