  1. Hope the devs are doing okay. The sudden surge of backlogs concerns me.
  2. Yeah, I've seen it. You posted in this forum a video a talks about this forum. What if he makes a video about this particular thread and sees that? youtube-forum-ception.
  3. A shout-out to the modders: he's planning to give your mods a little bit more exposure. He talks about it on Part 15. You might wan to comment on that one.
  4. This is one of the many instances my eyes failed me. I looked at the old fortress model again, and the part I'm seeing as metal is actually a pile of stones.
  5. The Gauls' Fortress (Alpha 20 release) has walls that looked metallic to me. Your updated version looks better.
  6. The technology, yes. But how about the icon - was it already pushed? I'm not updated on the svn, so I don't know.
  7. Didn't care about the height because making that fortress less modern-looking removed that nagging "this just doesn't look right" vibe in me. I mean, slashing those steel walls with swords ? lol (I'm using Alpha 20 release, so I'm basing the eye-candy on that)
  8. I have to admit that finding what kind of looms appropriate for the time period of 0 A.D. is difficult, but would the ones used by the Ancient Egyptians do?
  9. Sorry about this. giving me post-Augustus equipment while saying that 0 A.D.'s Rome is Republican confused me. Anyway, I think I can do the research on how that works by myself. Let's just stick in-game then: What are the Roman swordsmen wearing in 0 A.D., specifically the helmet, armor, and sword (no problem with the shield, since that's the biggest thing I could see)?
  10. Thanks! So, if I got this right 0 A.D. presents the mid-Imperial Swordsmen. Their equipment should be: Lorica Hamata Imperial Gallic Helmet Fulham Gladius My particular graphics card makes it difficult for me to see these things when they get promoted, so I don't know what changes in armor would also take place in the game.
  11. These questions come from a guy who's very new to this historical stuff, so expect them to be kind like a kid who has little to no idea what he's talking about. 0 A.D. describes itself as a game that presents each faction in their prime. But I'm having trouble finding out what the "peak" of Roman military technology is. I'm comparing between Julius Caesar's army and Trajan's (If there are more, please let me know). And I think that WFG also believes that, hence the RomeAtWar mod. So my question is, what did the team decide as "Rome's peak" and why? Maybe it's there and I'm just not seeing it, but where's the Lorica Segmentata (let me just call it that)? I'm not referring to that Blacksmith upgrade. Why is the scutum more rounded than rectangular?
  12. You're not tempting me to give potshots at the game's obvious placeholders, are you? I loved the humor!
  13. MasterOfRoflness' Mauryan video is actually his Persians Gameplay without his voice. I already commented but I don't think he noticed it yet.
  14. Realistic Ramming/Boarding mechanics, or the typical RTS Shoot Projectiles? Maybe both? Haha, the dev team will get their hands full with this one.
  15. It depends on the general behind either side. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
  16. I'm willing to support that, but I'm only limited to your Youtube uploads. BTW is wowgetoffyourcellphone = excommunicate?
  17. Mint 17.x has the Ubuntu 14 something while Mint 18's base is Ubuntu 16 something. Could that have contributed to the conflict?
  18. I believe that roflness is also a good english caster and plays much better. But I prefer anavultus' videos since it can relate to total NOOBs who can grow to lrean the game just like him. I should know since I'm like him and was with him nearly every step of the way. BTW if BeDoG is in the forums, shout out to you for his growth spurt! And, yeah, do like the 0 A.D. Videos.
  19. Whoever this nigel is, he has to know that he's been featured twice in his channel. I referred him to the Rise of the East mod, but went and did another. Even LordGood wanted him to try out Ponies Ascendant!
  20. I prefer the Objective to have the biggest font size and aligned to the center. My suggestion is influenced by me seeing too much Candy Crush.
  21. I thought that Flaming Pigs are some sort of inside RTS joke until I Ducked (no, I don't Google) it.
  22. The decision for secondary attacks will be another gameplay changer. But if the patch gets through, I would reminisce the days watching those archers shoot their enemies at point-blank range. Speaking of development, I know that the next Alpha is planned to be released within these days. But I prefer that you just delay it as needed. I prefer delays over a half-baked alpha (if that term actually makes sense). Those Release Blockers are quite nasty. Still hoping that you make it, though.
  23. Hope you art guys aren't offended. I don't want all your hardwork get dismissed in one post. The gameplay people, I believe, are discussing it out in the Development Section. They are active in that section as they understandably have very little time to entertain our rants in this section. I hope that you can understand why you are mostly exposed to Eye Candy discussions. The developers have been (and still are) looking for ways to improve the pathfinding, primary/secondary attacks, game balancing, and every other thing concerning gameplay. They can do so much with so little free time. If you want, you can contribute to coding to make things easier for them.
