  1. Sure. But I have to at least hold on to something. We'll just have to see how the other balance mods fare out.
  2. Well, since Delenda Est seems to be going on a hiatus for a while I think I'm gonna have to rely on Monkey Wrench as the main Gameplay Mod.
  3. "To fork, or not to fork?" That is the question. It's been nearly a year since I joined in the forums and even I can feel the frustrations of all sides: Traditional Players vs. Modern Players Developers vs. Players Devs vs. Devs Devs vs. Modders and even the asset-makers Of all the factors, this is the clearest indication why the game has stayed in Alpha for so many years.
  4. This kind of artwork can slap the faces of those who made that movie of naked Spartans
  5. "How dare you! You promote slavery." There, trolls. I beat you to it. Now, can we have a good discussion here? Will 0 A.D. Wood have this? I'm imagining a lot of wars centering around the buildings.
  6. *Gasp A tutorial on how to left click and right click!
  7. Japan is a game on its own. If this mod were implemented I'd like to see it present the warring states separately as well as the reigning dynasty. After all, the most common stereotype in Japanese history is Ronins vs. Samurais, and then the Swords vs. Guns period. There's a lot to unpack (and dismantle) with just those two.
  8. Promoting DE? I have to: Cavalry in Phase 1 - You get to have only 1, they should only be SCOUTS (and meat gatherers) in the early game. Cavalry in Phase 2 - Remove the limit. NOW you get to choose if you want to rush with them. That's the only idea I have. But it doesn't change the primary concern: Jav Cavs are OP. Delaying the rush doesn't really affect the Balance Issues. Elephants = Non-siege Units. Well, implement DE's Flaming Pigs and we have something. Otherwise, they have to stay as a gameplay feature. This is the game's current "Counter" System: Rams destroy each other with 1-2 Hits Elephants > Buildings & Rams Rams > Buildings & People People > Elephants Take that into consideration.
  9. I'm not sure if this is what you meant @Lion.Kanzen, but here it is.
  10. I like how the Faction Page turned out. Only that it needs images for each unit/structure just like what you did on the Gathering Resources Page. I don't know about other devices, but the Main Page feels off because of the image overlap. I assume that it's only a bug on my square screen.
  11. How you presented your idea is just difficult to understand. But if I got it right this is what you mean: A unit that has low-health has 3 options: 1. Run to a Healing Post 2. Keep fighting 3. Surrenders (Be captured) Your idea system seems close to a "morale" system, although you made it sound like the player can't control units given the circumstances.
  12. Sadly, I might give all the replays to the Anavultus for a while.
  13. Must be something that happened on your end. That feature worked for me since Alpha 22... and with the improved graphics.
  14. So the best method of surviving is Military Units > Military Buildings
  15. 0 A.D.'s pathfinder works differently, but I don't know what you dev guys think of this pathfinder Strike Tactics is using. http://striketactics.net/devblog/starcraft-1-pathfinding-technical-analysis
  16. @Thebes That was the point. Your comment all the more answers against the logic of the Original Question: 0 A.D. Maps are displayed too near to the ground to display the spherical shape of the globe.
  17. There hasn't been really any complaints about the lack of color contrasts until it was put in. To be honest, that is the first time I have trouble accepting a modern, minimalistic design principle.
  18. Well, here it is. My take on the Espionage Feature.
  19. Oh, please do. Once I get my hands on that DE that fixes my UI, I might start supporting it as the main game.
  20. Well, that's a compliment! You didn't know that a game of this quality would be released for free. But, yes. As said, you can sell your game. It's like having to the ability to sell your bread, but you have to display the recipe for anyone who asks.
  21. 1. 0 A.D.'s source code is there for you to take for free. It's licensed to do that. 2. Modify the code, then no problem. It's yours. 3. Here's the clause: you MUST release your code under the same license. (Free for anyone to copy and modify). This is the bare-bones of Open Source if we ignore all the nuances of the other licenses. Modifying something that's not yours, and then making people assume that you created it alone - Now THAT'S unethical.
  22. I still believe that the player who lost just plain blundered.
  23. I just made a Tutorial video regarding this and it might be up this Thursday. I takes me about a couple of minutes to present, but @realNoobNoob only needed one sentence.
