  1. ( I was bored yesterday and I thought that I may surf on 0 A.D. 's website ... I then opened my 3D Studio Max R6 and started modelling an Airbus plane A300-600ST ... then, I thought it'd be fun to model some of 0 A.D. models ... the Persians inspired me and eventually, here what I came to ... a cute little Persian village ... I think I made 8 or 9 buildings all in all ... hope you like it ... and if somebody would like to texture them, I would love to ... in order to have a "real" village
  2. ( excellent! just what I wanted..
  3. ( Néanmoins Cependant Pourtant Enfin Par conséquent Voire Effectivement Au contraire Contrairement à De ce fait Quoi qu'il en soit En revanche En même temps Malgré Quitte à *running out of ideas too*

  5. ( The word fable exists in English, but I do not know if it has the same meaning as in French ... *checks his dictionary* ... .. . yes, it is the same ... as modern, did she/he mean written in the 20th century? if so, I really cannot think of anything ... otherwise, I thought of Peau de Chagrin by Balzac, which is definitely a fable ... Modern writers have stopped writing fables as such, with non-human characters, like De La Fontaine ... they set up their scene into reality ... Ah, I am thinking of a 20th century writer who wrote fables ... Dino Buzatti (Italian, but wrote in French) ... he wrote le K, a compilation of short-stories, many of which are fables. Apart from that, I am afraid you will have to rely upon yourself And whatever happens, post the test in here on Friday evening
  7. ( Nous pouvons en déduire que ... blablabla ... De plus, il faut aujouter que ... blablabla ... I am running out of ideas on a Thursday evening at 7 pm ... Stomach is empty ...
  8. ( Well, basically, all uncommon words in French I thought really impressive words in French ... like Muriate check that one out people ... and try to use it in a day-to-day sentence
  9. ( I know the numbers up to 100 the days and the months ... I live 200 km from the border and I can't even make a sentence in Spanish My wife who was born 16,000 km from Spain and never learnt that language at school knows more than I do
  10. ( not very common to use circonvolution in a sentence ... it is normally used (at least in France) for the brain's curliness ... and not much else. éperdument can be translated with passionately ... usually use dfor lovers ... j'aime ma femme éperdument ...
  11. ( I noticed something that is very unfortunate ... there are no more links going to the websites directly from the forums ... you have to click on "Wildfire Games Home" and then, click on the wanted website. Do you plan to have a link somewhere going directly to TLA and 0AD or is that done on purpose? A link could be placed somewhere beside the subforum links or at the top of the page, next to WFG link ...
  12. ( another link that is not really working properly ... when you click on "Forums" on the TLA website, it is leading to the old address ... and therefore, you need being re-directed. Could it be changed? thanks
I'd better send you some French grammar and idiom books
  14. ( corresponder does not exist ... unless it is a new word It is correspondre ... then, words to impress a reader ... I love néanmoins (nevertheless) excécrer (to loathe - to hate) piteux (masc) - piteuse (fem) : apalling, terrible there are so many ... what exactly kind of words would you need? refering to what?
  15. ( I lost over 2,000 posts ... I really didn't realize I posted (spammed) so much in the "Spam" F&G forum ... Anyway, I am also surprised that "only" 25 members are over 1,000 posts ...
  16. ( a little stupid ... it will be rotten at some point ... and as Quacker said, the picture will be gone when molds start to appear ...
  17. ( great website ... hopefully in 2008, it will be hey_everybody_we_won.com
  18. there are three good ways to stop smoking. First is not to start Second is to stop buying cigarettes or live in the Sahara desert Then, you have to oblige yourself to stop buying any kind of lighter, match, etc ... nothing to light a cigarette But there is perhaps a better way ... my step-father stopped smoking in 1993 after he saw my great-grand-father dying of throat cancer ... it is really horrible ... he died in terrible pain. the day after, my step-father stopped all of a sudden. He has not touched a single cigarette eversince. I guess the shock made him realize what it may do to himself...
  19. nope ... do you know the Author's name of somethings that could give me a hint? fable moderne ... Paris ... prison ... no, that does not ring a bell ... I am really sorry.
  20. The Smurfs will be in the game? what period is that ? The Classical Age or the Modern Age of Smurfs? because in the Classical Age, Smurfs didn't mate ... they had a leader with a white beard and a red hat, but in the Modern Age, they started mating with the arrival of a genetically modified Smurf: a female ... nothing was like before and the Smurfian Empire collapsed because all the Smurfs only had 1 single female Smurf ... CHAOS ... that's it what the Romans called Smurfii Apocalysus ... and not a single Smurf has ever been seen again ... 2 hypothesis: they may be hiding in a secret valley, away from female temptation or they may just be extinct ... like Dodo birds
  21. legos nowadays are just about recreating what is on the box and replay your favorite Harry P (©Warner) or Spiderman scene ... when I was younger, legos were just a box and you had to invent your own scene and your own buildings, vehicles, etc ... lego has turned to the Dark Side of the Creation ... Mercantilism ...
  22. and definitely not as cheap as any University/College/School in France (free in here ... ) But hope you will join the MIT one day
  23. I don't know how I came across that but this morning, I chose to go on www.wildfiregames.com to access TLA website ... then, I clicked on "Forum" and it told me that the forum had moved and I was re-directed ... could you not update the link? that would take a few seconds, I reckon ... just a tiny little thing, but I thought you may want to know
