  1. ( Well, here is a little 3D scene I have just done to show you how great a WFG mug would be ... I like the WFG mousepad idea too, Arga ... and I like your new avatar too ...
  2. ( I had never thought of such a thing, but my wife and her hometown forum have edited T-shirts for over 30 members ... well, obviously, no money is made on the T-shirts. It is only to show how proud you are of your own town ... or community. Well, the thing is, they had the T-shirts done for nearly nothing since my wife's hometown is in the Philippines ... but anyway, couldn't it be possible for WFG to have some merchandising done? (without any money done on the sales ... if you want to remain a band of hobbyists ...) ... the money asked would just be the exact amount of the T-shirt + shipping ... There could be mugs (I love mugs ) or stickers ... I don't know ... Do you think it is feasable ... and if so, is it a good idea? how many of you (us) would be interested in having merchandising from WFG? However, I understand it would be impossible for TLA ... but, could be for 0 A.D.
  3. ( I see ... you had to give kind of definitions ... I thought you needed synonyms fair enough, I hope it helped a little
  4. ( to burgle - to break into ? to steal - to rob to smuggle - to defraud ? to abuse -to exploit to murder - to assassinate to rape - to ravish to blackmail - to threaten :-( to kidnap - to abduct to beat - to hit to rob - to steal to embezzle - to swindle abduction - rape vanadalism - devastation arson - blaze manslaughter - carnage physical assault - attack drunk driving - stupidity extortion - racket ? bank fraud - misappropriation forgery of documents - false entry (too technical?) to mug sb. - to bully this is my list ... it is not, in my opinion, a reference list ... but it looks pretty good on the whole :drug:
  5. ( there rolleyes ... Anyway, could anybody precise "And hunting them isn't the only thing you can do with them"? what does it imply? are there for instance wild horses that you can tame? ... chicken-kamikaze or war-pigs?
  6. ( Bye wildfire ... you had a nice nick anyway why are we talking in here now? he can't even see it ... or reply ... shouldn't this thread be closed?
  7. ( funny what you said Yiuel, because in colloquial Brittany French, a horse is said "un choual" .. instead of "cheval" ... Knowing that many Bretons moved to Quebec, that might explain it too ...
  8. ( Dear Sam, from your list ... - Switzerland ... visited ... nice places, people are friendly, but life is outrageously expensive. - Ireland ... visited ... great place, nice girls, excellent beer !!!! ( - Great Britain ... visited ... my second home ... it's like trying to advertise your own town - Canada ... not visited yet, but have been invited to some friends - Germany ... visited ... went to some relatives near Hamburg ... am supposed to go to a friend's wedding in Köln in September ... will see what it is like - Italy ... visited ... wonderful place. Went to Rome, Naples, Siciliy, Pisa, Venice, Turin ... you have to go there! It is (nearly) as beautiful as France. - Austria ... visited (for a few hours) ... just went at the border of Austria and Switzerland ... looked the same really. - France ... living in it ... what could I say! ... if anyone drops by in Toulouse, they have to come over. I will make you guys discover the South West! - Russia ... not visited ... not planning to though
  9. ( Asia for me ... the Philippines to be precise ... my wife's from there and it is the most beautiful country I have ever been to ... people are wonderful, I love the cooking, it is VERY cheap for the quality ... and it is like being in Spain with Asian people. So, I nearly feel like home @ Uppy: good pick ... France is a marvellous country ... but do not only go to Paris
  10. ( Indeed Argalius ... within Europe, I think our own shipping companies are a lot better ... however, I have often sent things to the US, China, the Philippines or Australia, and FedEx did it in an astonishing small amount of time compared to our European companies ...
  11. ( You understood right ... you have to know that during the Tour de France, Lance Armstrong was one of the only cyclists not to have a drug test ... why is that? I do not know ... maybe he is too popular to be disqualified, maybe the sponsors are too powerful ... no idea, but I find it shocking. Moreover, when you see his former team mates who, last year, were among the best in the Tour, are this year among the last (for those who changed team) or even abandoned ... I just find all this kind of weird ...
  12. ( @ Yiuel: not many people know my "real" name too ... I guess it is a French feature Anyway, I like Tim's idea, but would it be possible?
  13. ( in France, un car is "a bus" ... anyway Erik, if you want to come to France, you are always welcome, although I live far from Paris Anyway, it is a pity that there are not more French speaking people on board! They could criticize the US more than I do on my own . j/k
  14. ( I have always used FedEx and I have to say they have always been very efficient. However, in Europe, our state-managed shipping companies (Chronopost and Royal Mail for instance) are very competitive too and a lot cheaper ...
  15. ( I have to say that I strongly disagree with this particular cause ... It is fine to support cancer research, but Armstrong's wristband is disgraceful. He had testicle cancer when he was in his 20s ... How can you have testicle cancer being so young ...? Well, research in the 1970s showed that a particular drug could cause such cancer if taken regularly and in great proportions. Armstrong's case has raised great doubts among people in France (and in Europe I assume). However, every time something needs to be done, he invokes his cancer ... I can tell you I have seen a lot of people dying of cancer or still alive, but it is impossible to have such an activity after cancer. I think Armstrong is betraying the people who are supporting him nad who are buying that wristband ... I really find it appalling. The Tour de France passed by in a city by my hometown and I went to see it. The guy who was trying to sell the wristband didn't sell any amongst 20,000 people ... not one ... So, instead of buying such a toy, give donations to serious cancer research charities. What people are after with the wristband is not a good action, it is to show that they support a good cause. I think it is better to keep this kind of thing for oneself and not show it everywhere in the streets. After all, it is a personal matter.
  16. ( Nice aniwal, but do you think it enjoys being in a cage all day? Anyway ... sorry for being killjoy ...
  17. ( ok, here is my version ... chatville: -les habitants sont des chats (il y a quelques exceptions) - ... sorry, don't understand that one -il y a des moyens d'attraper des souris sur presque chaque table -beaucoup de statues qui représentent des chats populaires -à la télé on peut regarder des chats qui sont en train d'attraper des souris -les automobiles ont des têtes de chats à l'avant (de bouteilles de vin aussi) -les maisons ressemblent beaucoup à des maisons d'hommes (les arbres et la nature aussi) -pour manger il y a souvent du poisson, des souris et des oiseaux -les chats peuvent les acheter dans les supermarchés -ils sont habillés comme les humains. My version is very similar to that of Yiuel ... just few differences. Hope that suits you
  18. ( You should have the Official Nitpicker Award as much as Enarwaen ...
