  1. LordGood says he can't solve the problem that his avatar doesn't appear.
  2. I love to win knowing the Germans have the advantage because of the end-game Panzers. I love RoN's Romans because of their enormous territory, that with the correct wonders can decimate the enemy attacks easily, i am the annoying kind of turtler-boomer that keep only as much soldiers as needed to survive just to keep evolving economically at a mind-blowing speed (of course getting as many wonders as possible to block my enemies from having them!), be the first to get artificial intelligence, blow 2 or 3 nuclear bombs on enemies' economic centers and finish the job with tanks, helicopters and jet fighters!
  3. i like this idea to some extent, but the proposal of the attrition damage is to discourage too early attacks to protect your villagers. If not for this, what else will block the enemy from camping on your resource sites just outside the reach of your civic centre. Okay, he can lose those soldiers, but while you were fighting them, his villagers were gathering at full speed and you got a serious resource disadvantage here, what means you'll have to take defensive because you can't afford sending troops far away before your enemy does the same.
  4. Well, my screen is 1900x1080, but i guess around 1600x900 can work, too... Look at the current 1600x1080: EDIT: Obs.: Don't stress about the bottom border, the taskbar auto-hides
  5. Amish, could you do a widescreen version of your last one, please???
  6. I think he meant to suggest you guys make wallpapers with the conceptual art and the final work
  7. I've been looking for good wallpaper for ages, thank you guys!
  8. Quo Vadis (1951) (around 68 AD) - A romance, but involving the roman emperor Nero, St. Paul and christian martyrs. It's worth watching, really. (The name means "Where are you going?") Hispania, la Leyenda (2010) (II century BC) - Series about the most brilliant leader to ever defy the Romans: the Lusitanian Viriathus. Obs.: "300" and "300 Spartans" (the same story, different movies) are set in 480 BC, a year before the battle of Platea, so yeah, they are within the timeframe of the game Obs.2: at 00:05:13, is it the voice of Skyrim guards ("I used to be an adventurer like you, then i took an arrow in the knee")???
  9. But i think a wikipedia page is needed, for it is where people will ask for knowledge about the game, if they like it.
  10. I think the team is grateful when someone decides to provide a new civ stuff. They want a reasonable number of civs, but they can't compromise themselves with a large number, after all we all have our own businesses to take care of, uh?!
  11. Every feature has the risk of not being in the final game, but i think there's no need to discourage the development. You, Pureon and FeXoR, are a bit afraid of the results, not remembering everything can be restored to the original point. I say let Thomas develop it and research about the possible solutions to the problems you say. There is always the problem of time, but you are forgetting that it will be worked upon one way or another, so let someone start it!
  12. Depends on what eastern civs you're talking about. Persians and Indians are eastern. I can't remember all the civs of part 2, but it'll at least the Huns.
  13. That granary reminds me of AoE... I'm not sure if i really liked its color scheme, or if i like because of the good memories of AoE. The pavilions looks well textured and the light effects on water is very beautiful, but the fog of war is ugly and the blending of the water with the sand of the beach is too abrupt on some pics, as if the sand 1 inch away from the water was totally dry. EDIT: About the heroes, i think i don't really care for hero customization besides the banner. And i don't care at all when in a campaign, i want to revive the paces of that hero, not create my own.
  14. We don't give a name to the release, we suggest what is better and the staff chooses.
  15. I'm currently trying to talk with some spanish professors around here (and a friend of mine who's studying in Spain) to see if they would help us with this basque trouble, but i had no answers as of yet.
  16. Well, Iberians are going to speak spanish, aren't they? The community has many spanish speakers. Also for the romans, we have at least 10 romantic-speakers regularly showing up here and some of them could simulate latin accent, couldn't they?
  17. Didn't know about all these games, i thought the developers continued til Age of Empires 3 (i read they wanted to put another name, but microsoft refused).
  18. Without the arch it seemed too simple and i couldn't imagine a toran there... That's why i didn't question it. But anyways it would be a good place to throw things at invaders, wouldn't it?
  19. Unlike horses, elephants don't deal well with closed/tiny spaces, they become depressed.
