  1. I think the solution to the champion "problem" is to have 2 templates for each champion. The ones trained from the Han Academy would have _academy or other some such suffix. Both templates would have the same SelectionGroup. Similar to how the "House" females work. Sound like the way to go? Sounds good. Han only right?
  2. Well we're not adding new features but some balancing changes can go in as long as one is very careful about not breaking everything. Ideally it wouldn't change strings much too because that more strain on the translators. What do you have in mind? Having at least one person to back you up might help. I'm not against merging balancing changes but I'd like to have at least two people agreeing on it. For bigger patches like the fortress thing 3-4 would be great.
  3. Well so far nobody has stepped up. I mean the last “great vision” we had was that of Nescio, and everyone loves A24, right? Even when Mythos Ruler was leading there was no big consensus. Probably much less dissonance from the forums because the multiplayer community was less vocal (Or maybe time soften the discussion they had then)
  4. Probably not. But I suppose those buildings have a bigger gameplay impact than kennels. If we had building sockets we could append them to buildings BFME2 style.

  6. @alre I mean that if you enable it for some template it will work, it's just that units won't care about it unless you micro them.

  9. I made it through a C# program. The gist is to replace all occurences of fancy in the pmp, but there is a catch... Let's see if I can open source that. Didn't try it on linux though :/ Might also update the existing python migration script.
  10. As someone who has done archery hitting at target at more than 100m is very hard, and they did not have the english longbow then. In theory you could have an option to add and disable friendly fire (by adding a tech at the beggining of the game that would apply a modifier on everything)
  11. Yeah @vladislavbelov asked me to remove all fancy grass experiments because they were not looking good enough and were bad for performance.
  12. Just try a few time, svn supports partial checkouts. If you can compile you can also use the git version

  14. @Salesome I'm not sure how Snap works exactly , but you need to give it write permissions. Tagging @oSoMoN who is maintaining the snap.

This is for me a controversial patch (realism vs gameplay) so I do not have a strong opinion on it. I'll listen to the numbers I suppose.
