Hello everyone, This is an update on the progress of the Alpha 27 release. After extensive deliberation, the team has decided to abort the release process for the foreseeable future. As some of you know, we've been in a "feature freeze" for the past 3 months. This period, during which we halt all new code merging except for crucial bug fixes, is typically a final step before a release. Unfortunately, progress on the release has been slower than anticipated, and Alpha 27 is still several weeks away. Some of the outstanding issues include: Acquiring the necessary macOS certificates for signing the packages Completing the trailer for the announcement, and finishing the announcement itself More testing is potentially needed, and some important bug fixes are not yet merged. The balance of A27 has not been extensively tested and refined. The time it takes to actually release (uploading packages, informing maintainers, etc.) is potentially more than any of the team can commit to right now. Our current pace on these matters is unsustainable. Following a vote, we have chosen to abort the release and refocus. This decision wasn't made lightly, but we believe it's in the best interest of 0 A.D.'s long-term health. We will use this time to: Merge improvements that have been developed during the feature freeze, such as optimizations and further fixes. Identify and address the issues that have hindered the current release process, as we cannot hope to release in the future without fixing them. We will likely come back to the community with more information on this last point and potentially requests for help. We realize that this news may be disappointing. I have added some commands to great AutoCIV my development steps can be viewed here or/and the mod downloaded https://github.com/sl5net/autocivP/releases/latest its for v0.26.2 and v0.27.1, one for both Versions. it uses more autocompletion : people might think its using hotkeys when you use autocompletion When others see you quickly accessing and completing code with minimal effort, they might assume you are using hotkeys. Autocompletion helps you find and insert the correct snippets without the need to manually search or remember them. This efficiency can make it appear as if you're using hotkeys. it uses profiles for diffent thinks it sets some check-boxes and some values like 250popMax,300food, alliedview, .. for the game that probably / hopefully everybody love1 point

Hi folks! First time posting here but long time fan I'm a game dev hobbiest (dabbling in code and blender both) and have been considering lately to try loading 0ad's actors in Godot. I know 0ad has a custom engine and the idea seems kinda wacky but let me explain why I'd like to do it: It would be useful! If I get it to work, this could be a tool that lets users view (and possibly configure) 0ad actors visually For fun, I'm learning Godot. I do software as day job but normally use Unreal engine for games, and looking for a project to help me learn Godot for my projects instead Godot community could benefit from having such a large, nice consistent art repository of animated 3d models like 0ad's! (And maybe 0ad project can use this for tools, etc. Godot does have great UI framework for quickly building stuff) I'm planning on doing all the work myself - so it wouldn't be too much of a nuisance for folks (ie, no harm done here...) Anyway I'd publish everything on Github - (code, any patches needed to 0ad files). I can post progress on this forum if folks are interested to see. But before I jumped in I wanted to get some opinions from folks here, since I'm new to 0ad art: What do you think? Would it be useful (either an actor tool itself or Godot integration)? Any feature ideas you might like? I'd like to read 0ad's XML files, but probably batch convert most meshes to a Godot format for the actual viewer (rather than try to load the release assets). Is this approach viable? I did find the biped_meshes_animations.zip Blender archive - for bipeds, and am curious on how to map the meshes within to actors (by the node names?) Is there another approach I should consider for sources to convert to Godot (ie, are dae files the best place, or would I need to get a copy of MAX to support others?) A single swear word use should not result in a ban or extreme punishment. On the other hand there is no reason to directly insult other players for no apparent reason. Easy to tell others to chill if someone isnt the target himself. Maybe we should also have some trust in Lobby Moderaters to judge things appropriatly, and if there is abusive moderation you are also free to post such incidents in the forum. 0 AD is no dictatorship thats gonna kill anyone for it1 point

Taking the water-as-a-resource-idea a bit further , Romans as an example could have aquaeducts as a special building, guiding water from a well to a CC. Aquaeducts could be implemented as a kind of wall structure that provide a water supply aura for CC, fields, stables etc. Possibly a "water aura" could give a very small population bonus to houses (e.g. +1) within the aura. I do apologize for putting such crazy ideas out for discussion as they may impact development and gameplay alike...something to consider for version A39 possibly .1 point

-Buenas ,yo estaba pensando en lo mismo (Centro Cívico para los Arsácidas), pero como el edifico es muy grande , pensaba si es posible usar una simplificación o algo más estético que sería solo usar la primera mitad partiendo desde los tres grandes "Iwán" de la parte inferior del dibujo y toda la gran cúpula del medio , incluyendo las dos pequeñas bóvedas de los pequeños "iwanes" de la derecha e izquierda y detrás y en los laterales de la gran cúpula del medio poner tres bóvedas de cañón. Sería interesante replicar esa puerta lateral de la gran cúpula en los dos costales del edificio. Algo así; (Posible "Centro Cívico" para la Facción de los -Arsácidas- ) (Perdonen si digo Arsácidas y no Partos/Parthian , pero en español Parto es una palabra que significa ; Dar a luz a un bebe y ese doble sentido es algo raro/desconcertante) Posdata; si puedo ayudar estaría encantado de hacerlo en lo que me pidan. I was in the game and indeed i_am_groot used offensive language. Fact. But beyond this, it's ridiculous to try to bring the safe space to 0AD. I don't think I ever insulted a player by swearing myself but I fear much more abusive moderation then offensive language by some nerds. @1984 please chill.0 points

Thanks for the report. Hosters are responsible for moderating in-game conduct unless it's extremely bad. Talk to the hoster at the time and ask them to establish and enforce rules. You are advised to favor joining hosters with rules for their games. Anyway, the misconduct seems very mild to me: one swearword (a---hole). Send evidence of other misconduct and it will be considered.0 points
