1. If the bush was an obstacle, the building preview would turn red, as it does for any obstacle.

 2. I've made bushes passable and destructible by buildings. They don't block pathfinding or construction. Used a mixin: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <Entity> <Obstruction> <BlockMovement>false</BlockMovement> <BlockPathfinding>false</BlockPathfinding> <BlockFoundation>false</BlockFoundation> <BlockConstruction>false</BlockConstruction> <DeleteUponConstruction>true</DeleteUponConstruction> </Obstruction> <StatusBars> <HeightOffset>8</HeightOffset> </StatusBars> </Entity> This prevents bushes in your base from blocking you from constructing buildings, which was a huge problem for India and other biomes that heavily use bushes.

 3. As a pretty hardcore Bernie bro who had Biden far down on their list in the primary all the drama here is ridiculous. Firstly this was initiated by Trump. Secondly it isn't like Biden could have called the generals on the phone and been like: "Yo don't leave a bunch of top tier military equipment for the enemy." The military was in charge, not him. Additionally handling the collapse of the Afghan army any better was impossible. They were always going to fold without our support and obviously you can't say that during the operation. Of course they said the ANA would hold on. The UK was welcome to take over the leading role in the country if they don't like the US pulling out. They didn't though so they need to STFU. Especially Blair. All the military and natsec people are piling on Biden because they want to send a message to political leaders that they'll try to tank their careers if they don't endorse forever war. Half the people in the media giving out quotes are Raytheon board members and stuff. Of course they're mad. This was their golden goose. We'd been losing ground to the Taliban for months, they were only holding off on Kabul because they didn't wanna stop us from leaving. The real problem was all the contractors and their lobbyists and the politicans who danced to their tune pretending like the Afghan government was a real government that had the trust and respect of the populace and the line troops in the army. A bunch of corrupt warlords sucking on the Pentagon teat were never going to inspire the people to fight. You couldn't even go at it Kurdish style and arm the women who had a lot more to lose since the culture of the masses doesn't support that there. Of all the people involved in leadership Biden was the only one who really wanted to pull out and the only one who didn't have a motivation to flub the withdrawal. We are lucky he is an old man who wanted a leagacy of peace and pulled the trigger even knowing how hard all the special interests were going to @#$% on him. Not my favorite president but at least he wasn't a coward like Obama.

 5. @Ceres go to your mods folder, then open the command line and then put in [git clone https://github.com/JustusAvramenko/0ad_terrains_overhaul.git ] Wow's code is not meant to be applied as a patch or to be put into svn by hand, you can just try it out as a mod. If you want to learn more on how such changes work you can look at the git commit -> https://github.com/JustusAvramenko/0ad_terrains_overhaul/commit/0fbb938242a5c70ea653ba93ee69f4f2ca23aa5d there you can see what data has changed and what the filepaths are __________________________________________________ @Player of 0AD^^

 8. I believe reducing costs by 50% for upgrades (the equivalent of Mauryas civ bonus) would be good. A 50-65% cost reduction for the actual priests too. I'm not sure however what should be done with Maurya civ bonus and/or the hero that reduces temple costs, increases upgrade speeds, and construction speed. Farmers have injuries in the field. Also, morale in doing the same mundane task. Healers take care of injuries and increase morale by singing the Wololo and Neeneenee folk songs in the fields. Back/front could be a tradeoff. Do you want healers helping eco or the military, which is more important, etc. I was thinking a bow snap mid pull and kills the archer equipped with the bow. Sometimes, 1 in a 1,000,000 , your whole archer army does that. Or a skrimisher being crazy and impaling themselves in the back of the head and dying. Or a slinger launching a rock into their own face.

 9. My impression is that elephants are far to strong against infantry. They are not tanks and in historical reality very vulnerable to spear and pole weapon men

 10. Automatically yes, immediately no. Translations need to be pulled first. Usually happens twice a week . I believe you can use the filters. Per resource. There is a way to see all strings but I never remember how.

 11. Not necessarily after armor is factored in They also can keep a units alive while fighting, allowing them to promote in combat. That said I don't know how useful this is compared to having more units of the same type fighting. But if you want melee units to get promoted / stay alive it's probably better to add healers rather than skirmishers. I think they aren't used primarily because of their cost, and the cost of their upgrades. Healers are expensive, and cost 100% food, so if you want to train them you have to rebalance your economy quite a bit. On top of that, their technologies are also expensive. Champions + healers could be a combo worth doing even in this alpha, however only possible if a game stays more or less stalematy/equal for a long time, which rarely happens right now. My suggestion for healers themselves is to reduce their overall cost, and add a metal cost. At some point before A26 they will be changed I think.

 12. A lot of people have been throwing flak at Biden, and while I would not say the withdrawal was the best parade out of a country, I find it unfair to push all of the blame on him. Clearly he was acting on some intelligence, and the idea that the government would collapse in a number of weeks I would say blindsided much of the world, myself included. The New York Times has an interesting article on the matter that might be worth a read. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/08/18/us/politics/afghanistan-intelligence-agencies.html Obviously he could have delayed the pullout considering the warning signs, but that would have been political suicide. Keeping to the arranged time was arguably the best bad decision, but quite obviously mistakes were made by Biden and a large number of others.

 13. whatever is your army composition, healers have a very weak effect on battles, a single javelineer deals more damage a priest can heal. The value of priests is given by the fact that they can keep healing your troops after they stop fighting. If your army is fighting without rest, it makes much more use of a javelineer than a priest. However, note that, while ranged soldiers get almost no benefit from veterancy, veteran healers are extremely more effective than base healers, also note that healers have their dedicated set of techs in addition to blacksmith techs for soldiers, so it is possible to have healers make a decisive impact to battles (especially in support of melee infantry champions), but it requires a lot of preparation, and I honestly don't see how can it be worth it.

 14. @wowgetoffyourcellphone Is there a tiny chance to make this image a bit less bloody? Our kids gulped when they saw it (and they are usually not shy about these things ).

 15. To make it "feature complete" from a player interface pov, it would be nice if the bush turned red when the player waves the building preview over it, to tell the player it will be destroyed.

 16. Not really, since you can only build in ur own territory and the bush isn’t destroyed until you start construction (simply placing a foundation doesn't destroy the bush).

 17. Healers are much more useful healing melee / tanky units, or champions, than weak ranged units that get overkilled anyway. They also make better use of promotion mechanic for melee units

 18. Improved Stone Mines for India, and you can definitely see fewer grass sprites. We need new models for the "small" Metal mines that pair with the new metal mines added in A25, as the current "small" metal mines re-use the small stone mine models. @Stan`
