  1. With this topic I would like to open a discussion on how to add at least two heroes and a champion unit for the Zapotecs in Terra Magna, in addition to future improvements always looking for the most historically accurate but without forgetting the gameplay, which I currently believe very affected the lack of certain units in the Zapotecs. Even with the current data we do not have from the old Zapotec kings (even with some studies still under development of the Zapotec script in which it is believed to have identified some names from the 4th, 5th century etc.) Even with the lack of translated names, we are aware of the existence of a strong and centralized state in the Oaxaca valley since at least 500 B.C. Zapotec ceramics can help us with representations of both kings and great warriors. I researched for a long time about the zapotecs and I believe that they can be improved and that they have an incredible potential to be a good civ in Terra Magna using the same period as the other factions of the 0 a.d. I am willing within my limitations to create what is necessary to implement the changes. I believe that we can create a mini test mod with changes depending on terra magna before applying any changes. I invite everyone involved in Terra Magna to comment on your ideas as well as all fellow modifiers / researchers. Of course if you want. Sorry for any wrong translation, I'm not an English speaker. http://www.famsi.org/zapotecwriting/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zapotec_civilization

  2. Some interesting prints: The champions besides padded armor could have a cape and carry a big spear. Cited locations https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lambityeco https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huijazoo

  3. The "Battle Priest" could be upgraded to hero status, and then we can add a "Warrior King" hero unit.

  5. I didn't understand, why centered on the north? (it was in the Amazon region that complexity really happened as far as we know). The marajoaras if they finished before they arrived, the busy marajo indexes were expelled, so I was probably Arauaques. In addition to the marajoras and kuikuros there are other very interesting peoples: Omaguas (Tupis) and the people Tapajoara .

  7. Perhaps this could be done by using the custom flags (in this case a custom dropdown) for maps, hopefully being handled by some js helper? That would require some implementation work but would be cleaner than an ad-hoc solution for this case. So for example you could have a helper script for map setup.

  8. When looking at the after-match summary report? Yeah, it's because of the coin and glory, I think. I messes up the summary ui code. I can't fix it.

  9. Hi, I'm new to the 0 A.D community and have only recently discovered this game when looking for AoE for mac. Absolutely love the game and very happy to see that developments are still being made. I was just wondering as a further follow up to this thread if there has been any progress made on the campaign. I am loving playing against the AI and am still exploring the different worlds/styles of play but would love to see a campaign implemented within this game. Thanks

  14. Hello Stan, i've clone the milleniumad-repository and create local on my computer a branch "gameplay-a24". For the first i have change milleniumad so that it will start without errors. Therefore i have marked mainmenu_milleniumad.js and session_milleniumad.js marked as deleted (mainmenu_milleniumad.js.DELETED and session_milleniumad.js.DELETED) because except the mods milleniumad, terra_magna and aristea no more mods has this files and i was not able to figure out whether this files throws an error starting the game. For the first step i have correct the "Norse" to keep them playable with a24: i've clone the repository and create a branch "gameplay-a24" local on my computer: What have i and/or you to do next?

  16. Thanks for sharing! I actually saw it. Not too bad... I agree, his videos are a little embellished. He tries though, but it's not quite up to academic standards. But I think they're decent intro's to relatively obscure chapters in African history. I occasionally see a video of his. There's an amazing piece of art shared in the video you linked, and I really love it! I don't even know who made this It almost looks like @Victor Rossi's work, but I didn't see anything on his artstation page, and reverse image searches turn up nothing? Was it commissioned specifically for the video?? Don't know. But it's on point! I still have hundreds of references to post... I've fallen so hopelessly behind...
