What I want to see is a logo. I looked around the internet for 'epic forks' yet found nothing satisfactory for meme purposes here. That needs to change.2 points

i have planned to do shields for iberians someday with the same wood texture of roman shields and leather cover. Im just taking a break of baking.2 points

As a proposal for those interested in making one, I'd recommend making it based on the greek letter ψ. It has the advantage of looking like a fork and being classy as well.1 point

Textures look good from first view. I have 2 questions: Do these textures have normal maps? How do they look like on a real terrain? How noticeable is the repetitive pattern?1 point

I couldn't care less about release dates anymore. 0 A.D. at least has some updates to show. Meanwhile Fork AD's still closed from the general public... accessible to those who want to really see it.1 point

It would be nice to separate the units from the buildings. Two separate threads.1 point

Could someone rename this thread to Parthians (or Arsacids) and Sasanians? They are named after Sasan, so Sasanian is preferred, and Sassanid is no longer considered appropiate nowadays.1 point

That would be nice. Also if someone could tell me if my eyecandy mod textures are worth putting in the game I've never been able to judge :/ https://github.com/0ADMods/eyecandy/tree/master/art/textures/terrain/types/new1 point

Really bad textures are still useable for highlights and such, only edits to existing textures I can think of being necessary are a desaturation of the autumn temperate textures1 point

Make sure it doesn’t replace the existing ground textures. Well see how they mix1 point

@wackyserious we need more texture variance. (specially shields)1 point

Keep in mind horses do not automatically imply cavalry. Mounted infantry (i.e. people who rode to battle but fought on foot) and true cavalry coexisted for centuries. Many, perhaps most, depictions of horsemen depicted on (Archaic) Greek and Italic pottery and frescoes are actually hoplites, not cavalry, e.g. Here are some excerpts on cavalry from Philip Sabin, Hans van Wees, Michael Whitby (eds.) The Cambridge History of Greek and Roman Warfare (Cambridge 2008): On pre-Hellenistic cavalry: And some more images: On Alexander's cavalry: On Hellenistic cavalry: On “Polybian” cavalry:1 point
