Hi Niek, It's been ages, I know, but I want to start doing something again. Is this guide still the same guide I can use to start creating a scenario? Also, could you help me get the latest tutorial on triggers? Planning to revive Alexander's campaign.3 points

I still feel like the division between the structure and the terrain is a bit too sharp, this is also a pain, but drop propping some kind of foliage around the outer wall would help blur that line. The raised model does help too though.1 point

Since we don't have enough information about Gallic, the idea was to use Old Welsh for the Gauls and Goidelic for the Britons, although this won't be accurate.1 point

@Skhorn it seems @niektb's comment to @Lion.Kanzen's first take on his section will be suitable here too: Maybe you can make it more blending with the surroundings?) The desired direction seems to be in making a more or less consistent map rather than patchwork of wildly different sections1 point

we can create mods that can convert into officials DLC like these guys did.1 point

Also want to add that my enemies had no opportunity to train spearchampions to counter my horses( actually txoz12 could have trained some fanatics). Guess he had no much iron since i was raiding his eco and killing some units1 point

Map:Mainland Players: Kudriy, Vercingetorix, PrincipalityOfZeon VS Grugnas, JorgeGijon, txoz12 Another use of cavalry. Someone can say that cavalry is enough strong but I assure u, Grugnas just was suiciding against me. After suiciding, my cav became promoted and could fight much better than Grugnas's new inexperienced cavalry 2016-12-15_0001.rar1 point

Map: Mainland Players: Vercingetorix_, ffm, Uran238cz VS Hannibal_Barca, nigel87,maxticatrix Use of cavalry. On this map there are few trees, thats why i decided to train cavalry ( low wood cost). 2016-12-14_0010.rar1 point

Map: Nomad (Tiny) Players: (siole, elexis, luzbel, YK) versus (_kali, maxticatrix, Vercingetorix, Uran23 (not Uran238cz)) Summary: 4v4 Locked Teams, 1 Civic Center per team (Low Starting Resources), Regicide, No ceasefire, 30min 51s gametime Another "nomad arena" gametype. By setting low starting resources and disabling treasure, players have to send resources to their allies, so that there can be at most 2 civic centers per team. 2016-12-05_nomad_2_teams_2_civic_centers.zip1 point

Map: Nomad (Tiny) Players: Grugnas, Vercingetorix, PhyZic, luzbel, Hannibal Barca, nigel87, Reijor, amv96 Summary: Regicide, No ceasefire, Free for all, Locked Teams, Gaia heroes, 6min 59s gametime If you want to finish a game within 5-10 minutes, this gamemode is perfect. The aim is to hide the workers from the enemy heroes to survive. It is quite funny how the last remaining player managed to survive on this map following a decision in #3229. (Yes those are 6 heroes in that screenshot). 2016-12-03_nomad_gaia_heroes.zip1 point

Map: Nomad (Tiny) Players: borg-, Hannibal_Barca, luzbel, PhyZic, nigel87, elexis, Reijor (mostly Gaia though) Summary: Regicide, Free for all, Locked Teams, Gaia heroes, 17 minutes gametime Resigning converts the regicide hero to Gaia, who will attack all encountered enemies even while ceasefire. Since Regicide implies Conquest mode, players are defeated when they don't have any workers left - a task easily accomplishable with a hero, yielding even more gaia heroes. 2016-12-03_tiny_nomad_8ffa_regicide_ceasefire_violated_by_gaia_heroes.zip1 point

Twelve multi-scenario campaigns is probably beyond what's possible, but on the other hand 0 A.D. "should be impossible" as a whole so who knows To begin with we'll aim for creating the frame-work and try and see how many people we can get involved in creating the campaigns. I would assume that the most likely way to do things would be to have say a handful of storylines that would include several of the factions in each campaign. Say a Punic wars campaign which could include at least Carthaginians and Romans, but I would say Iberians as well. Or something based on Alexander's rise to power (and the aftermath) which would include most/all of the Hellenistic Civilizations, Persia, and India. And possibly one featuring Caesar to include the Celtic ones. Unless we come up with a way to make both sides playable (i.e. so you could play the same scenarios from both perspectives) that would of course mean that some civs would not be played (unless you would "play as the enemy" in some scenarios), so I guess it would take a few more if you would like to have campaigns where all factions are played at least once. But apart from designing it well it's mostly a matter of manpower, so we'll have to see what is possible1 point

Compression takes it toll on it, doesn't it? Good to know we wont have a headless eagle as a mascot haha1 point

Virtus was a specific virtue in Ancient Rome. It carries connotations of valor, manliness, excellence, courage, character, and worth, perceived as masculine strengths (from Latin vir, "man"). It was thus a frequently stated virtue of Roman emperors, and was personified as a deity—Virtus.1 point
