  2. I forgot I snuck this into a commit a while back. Don't know what purpose it could serve, but I thought it'd be a nice urban eyecandy misc. building.

  3. Here's the Seleucid one, though I'm worried fortifying the Egyptian CC would probably make it look more fortress-y than the fortress.

  4. This doesn't tell me anything, Justus labels things as cartoony as well, but I need elaboration if I'm going to be able to take any action on it. 'Cartoony' just invokes frustration if specifics aren't pointed out.

  6. Oh, man, that's very helpful. But, I've solved the problem. It just was so stupid... My personal LAN was configured as a Public network, and I only granted 0AD private network access. Thank you very much. [SOLVED]

  7. @Tomcelmare This is a visual upgrade that would change the look of the CC once the 'hellenistic metropolis' technology is researched at the library, which makes civic centers powerful defensive buildings, not unlike the 'citadel' god power for the Egyptians in AoM. this isn't strictly a replacement for the old CC, and I'm not planning on replacing the Greek civic centers, IMO many CCs are too large and will have to fall on a spectrum of village-> city sizes if we decide to have visual upgrading for civic centers

  9. Virtus was a specific virtue in Ancient Rome. It carries connotations of valor, manliness, excellence, courage, character, and worth, perceived as masculine strengths (from Latin vir, "man"). It was thus a frequently stated virtue of Roman emperors, and was personified as a deity—Virtus.

  10. @MrShiney don't worry we'll fix it whatever it is. I realize I forgot to ask: What version of the game are you using ? I attached two files that might or might not help. The direct connect is in case you do not have access to the lobby, ie, school firewall. 0 A.D. Lan Tutorial.pdf 0 A.D. Direct Connect.pdf

  11. It's more the opposite, if we don't have all the features we will not call it a Beta. We are however at a point where there are very few gameplay features left to implement, and the ones which are left to implement are either big, hard to define/decide on, or both, so it is not too surprising that a lot of people don't have the time/knowledge/interest required to work on the remaining gameplay features but might have time to work on some smaller bug fixes.

  12. Game of Thrones mode. in RTS even 0 AD players changes their diplomacy. Making alliances and betraying old friends. but my ide is the game forces change team randomly, starting alliances in the beginning of match and each time the diplomacy will change get a little pace to prepare that radical chance. the players can't change diplomacy .

  14. Volsinus? Volsinii or Vulsinii (Etruscan: Velzna or Velusna; Greek: Ouolsinii, Ὀυολσίνιοι;[1]Ὀυολσίνιον[2]), is the name of two ancient cities of Etruria, one situated on the shore of Lacus Volsiniensis (modern Lago di Bolsena), and the other on the Via Clodia, between Clusium (Chiusi) and Forum Cassii (Vetralla).[3] One was Etruscan and was destroyed by the Romans in 264 BC following an attempted revolt by its slaves. The second was founded by the Romans using the remainder of the Etruscan population rescued from the razed city. Vellinus? Villendius? Veronius? Vindelicorus? The Raeti tribes of the Alps are subjugated by Tiberius and Nero Claudius Drusus. During the campaign, Roman triremes on Lake Constance destroy the fleet of the Vindelici. Augusta Vindelicorum is founded and becomes the capital of Raetia Prima

  15. Both configurations should work. Since you have a router, you can connect via it, and it's a bit easier: you just have to check host IP via ipconfig/ifconfig and enter it on client, see @stanislas69 0 A.D. Lan Tutorial.pdf (originally posted here: https://wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?/topic/21454-cant-host-multiplayer-game-even-lan-¿port-forwarding/&do=findComment&comment=323405). But you also commented on something like direct router-less connection, so I answered that you can use it as well. In this case you have to configure LAN IPs manually, since you don't have a DHCP-server. See a network configuration example in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0k63-FWqfw (up to 3:50, file sharing part is not relevant). For 0 A.D. part: start host on one machine and connect to host's LAN IP on client.

  16. Well, if new animations are implemented the new alpha will have a big feature in (Not only gameplay and bugfixes make the game experience). Don't know if it's a hard task, but a simple campaign functionality feels easy to implement (another thing is doing a good design), so I think that it would be also in. For me the game it's almost complete and only it lacks some love on ships, decide on running/charging/formations, improve pathfinding and a revision and redesign to make a cohesive gameplay (with the current features) (the problem is that everybody have their gameplay in mind, the solution is that you can make a mod). It's a lot of work, but hey, you're almost there! Back to topic, I would prefer Vita (vida is a word that spanish still use, so sounds weird) for the arguments exposed there, but I think that there's plenty of greco-roman words already. Viriatus could be chosen for his hardwork and his never-give-up spirit (there's a word for this?)

  20. From a convenience perspective and just streamlining operations, I think moving to one account makes total sense. I had a few questions but looks like Erik and Aviv both of covered it. With a project of this scale and being spread out in different time zones and jurisdictions, I think having one single source of monetary transactions makes total sense and I fully endorse the idea

  21. Ah, then I don't see any issues with it. Ok, well then I'm for it. I'm sure Jason would be glad to not have to think about it (or to have me nag him once or twice a year =) ), and it would be nice to have things in one place

  22. I don't have any specific suggestion, but I think it might be nice if we could find something related to the new unit meshes which are likely to be introduced in the next Alpha. It would also be nice to have something that's not related to Rome as we've had plenty of those =)
