  2. The Council is both happy and proud to announce a brand new release!!! What is it? Millennium A.D. is a total conversion mod for 0 A.D. focusing on the Middle Ages. It is divided in two parts, this first one is focusing on the first half of the Middle Ages; the timeframe of Charlemagne and the Viking Age. The name of this release is Cen. This word can be translated as "Torch". The torch is known to every living man by its pale, bright flame; it always burns where princes sit within. What is new? We have included a brand new Skirmish map from Delenda Est (though slightly modified compared to the original) called Brittanic Road: Stanislas69 made various assets for the Anglo-Saxons including a few buildings: lastly, niektb committed various balance and gameplay fixes and updated the mod to work with the latest alpha Who are we? The Council of Modders was formed up of two small modding teams and a few newcomers: Aristeia (about the bronze age) and Millennium A.D. (about medieval times) CoM aims to create a umbrella for all wannabee modders and help everyone needed and of course create their own projects. How to: Unzip the download but leave the inner archive intact. Place the unzipped folder into /binaries/data/mods. You'll see another folder there called 'public'. Launch the game and enable the mod in Options>Mod Selection. Press 'Start Mods'. Enjoy the mod! Download: In the last few months some members retired leaving us shorthanded. We are currently especially in the need of artists. So if you're a talented artist with a passion for history and you would like to help us out, please contact us using a PM or (preferably) in this thread: Wildfiregames...showtopic=18412 Thanks in advance! Our thanks go to everyone that helped us to achieve this mod through contributing, playtesting or in another way! If you have tips / suggestions, feel free to let us know. Also if you find bugs, let them know too. Support 0 A.D. if you like us: Play0ad.com The main menu background is made by Alexlinde from Deviantart. You can find him here: Alexlinde.deviantart.com The soundtracks are created by Antti Martikainen. You can find more of his work here: Anttimartikainen.bandcamp.com and Youtube.com

  4. I guess you pick something from http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Audio_Voice_List and have a look at which language(s) you can pronounce. I see that you already found the tasks threads in the art forum

  5. Map: Survival Of The Fittest Players: Hannibal Barca, Uran238cz, elexis, thenu, siole, wang_wei, nigel87, _kali Summary: Wonder Mode (20min), Very High Resources, Last Man Standing, Revealed Map, 2x Speed This was the first game where we noticed that the number of enemies is actually increasing and not only depending on the wave-time. Only at the end it became more noticeable. While for a long time it seemed obvious who would win, the last wave had so many enemies that it could have been anyone of the survivors, given 30 more seconds time (also Hannibal who won the last 12 games in a row was offline for that amount of time, which might have cost him the win). Here the number of enemies per waves and nr. of milliseconds to the next wave in that game: To be honest this map is much more enjoyable if one isn't dependent on treasure picking luck anymore. Players should win because of the way they invest their resources, not luck. I might vote for removing the field/corral prohibition on that map and only spawn wood/stone/metal treasure and not removing the ability to self-trade, any opinion @bb? 2016-11-17_survival_wonder.7z

  7. Hello, I've experienced an error with the most recent svn version of the game: on the top left of the menu page I've got multiple messages with: "warning: failed to draw cursor 'test' ". These "warnings" are uninterrupting, and despite them, I can load a game, but they prevent me from stopping the game normally. Instead I have to manually stop the game with Shift+alt+suppr. Also I can not load any mod. Anyone can help?

  11. Yes, I agree that it's a good idea - installers can offer a checkbox for it though so that the user can opt out. This will save those who don't want it on their desktop some time.

  12. Hi, if your Linux Mint version is based on Ubuntu 16.04 or newer I believe you should be able to get it from this ppa: https://launchpad.net/~wfg/+archive/ubuntu/0ad Or you can always build the game from source: https://play0ad.com/download/source/

  13. Ok, that is hard for us who are here now to know And as lion said, we are not concerned about him using art from the game. It was just weird to hear that he said he had worked on 0 A.D. when no one of us had heard of him being part of the project

  15. Make previously unused Ptolemian bolt shooter available Fix bolt shooter precision tech which didn't work previously Armour: 1 40 1 -> 1 50 5 increasing their repeat rate by 25%. Capture points: 250 -> 500 Regeneration rate of capture points: 0 -> 20 Population cost: 5 -> 3 So perhaps have you some love for this units but I can affirm that there were many changes. One could say the contrary ? Moreover, some units have specific uses (like a boat is not used on ground). I don't know what that mean.

  16. It adds unnecessary micro IMO. We already have a micro-intensive alternative to farms in corrals. We should aim to simplify econ tasks for the player and have top level players focus on battles while only using hotkeys for most homeward econ management.

  17. I gave it a try.. not entirely happy about my work, but here is the current version if someone else will edit another part first (I won't have time to edit my part again in the next few hours/days) Question: Is there an easy way to delete particles (like the volcano smoke)? I want to change the location of the volcano. (I was evil and moved the border to the black-grid part slightly :P) Community_Map_svott.zip
