Closing Old Issues
manowar replied to ShadowOfHassen's topic in Game Development & Technical Discussion
I spotted some issues that were already fixed but I had no way to close to label them as stale. Is that for admins only? -
@DesertRoseFound it. You need to sudo to enter your file manager just to access this file, in my case in debian. In terminal type nautilus admin:/ then in files go to var/lib/flatpak/app/com/play.0ad.zeroad/current/active/files/bin. There pyrogenesis is there, in my case I'm not sure how to open it.

I wonder why you don’t bother to explain why it’s a bad change.

Training Civilians from Roman houses in R28
Dakara replied to Riley S's topic in Gameplay Discussion
Too bad about this bug. It was fun, but it's only better with females; the bug is justified to prevent the spread of repugnant ideologies. troll - Today

@DesertRose You edit templates that impact the simulation. You should mark the mod not ignoring compatibility check, as it's technically not. Compatibility being a good enough reason why hotfixs are rare in between releases as mentioned by @guerringuerrin.

You have po files in the game you can use. You should also be able to download them from transifex However to fix them you need to fix the code they are extracted from

Ah, so the "real players" are only players on the lobby for you? You do know that vast majority of this game's player base is outside of the lobby, do you? This game cares not for your ideological feelings. Take that somewhere else, please. Now you sound like you're arguing about something that this change tried to correct. If you'd read the release statement, you'd know this. EDIT: On topic, thanks for the mod @Atrik. We should correct the voices in the next release.

What @guerringuerrin said, already better, the gendered civilians could be a good addition, but sharing audio with citizen-soldiers creates a small UX regression. Sound feedback matters. This thread isn't intended to be for a rejection the feature, however could be a highlighting for potential refinement. @guerringuerrin tried to orient the discussion on getting the sounds fixed but that didn't help .

Localization text file on specific language
CheckTester replied to CheckTester's topic in Help & Feedback
I periodically encounter grammatical errors (sometimes even serious ones) or translation inaccuracies in the interface, unit and building names, and hints, and I'd like to quickly spot them and all similar places in strings. For example, I recently discovered that the term "Nabatean camel archer" (which should be translated as "camel-riding archer") was translated in one language as "Nabatean archer of camel" (belonging to a camel or descended from a camel). Or another example: First, in one sentence, a unit is mentioned in the singular, then in the next, in the plural. And so on... -
Such a neat, helpful little mod, but its thread is taken over by a completely irrelevant discussion... Sad.

Hello everyone. Is there any detailed instruction how to get full text strings with English and someone another language ? It will be good to get the table or CSV file or something like that with english string and the translated string by specific another language. The purpose - to see all of this directly on the PC, to better search and overview. Using local text editor and so on... It's better to get it from localization portal, but I haven't found how to download it from transifex... May be it is possible direct from installed packages / folders on my PC (Windows) ? And of course I understand that the edition should be done only on transifex durring the specific period (before string freeze). Thank you in advance for any advice.

Thanks. That site should really be linked on https://play0ad.com/download/ somewhere.

@DesertRose All the previous releases are available at https://releases.wildfiregames.com/

Is there a way to get the download link or torrent for Linux 0.27? Or even better, can someone share the "public.zip" from game version 0.27?

Training Civilians from Roman houses in R28
guerringuerrin replied to Riley S's topic in Gameplay Discussion
Normally there is no official patches/bugfixes between releases. Last version we had the community-mod which is sort of an "official mod" that was intended to fix this kind of bugs and also balancing issues. I don't know if we will have community-mod for this release. All these stuff depends on very few members of the community and sometimes it can't be hard to do the work. Keep in touch in the forum and there might be some news about these in the next months
