Lion.Kanzen
Spoiler   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ficus_religiosa  http://www.bbc.com/earth/story/20170116-the-tree-that-shaped-human-history  Quote Ficus religiosa is a species native to the Indian subcontinent and South-East Asian countries such as Bangladesh, Bhutan, China (Yunnan province), India (all states except Andaman and Nicobar Islands), Laos , Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand and Vietnam. It was initially introduced to Sri Lanka in 288 BCE and later to other neighbouring Asian countries like Philippines and Singapore. In Philippines, it was introduced at an early date and now has become widespread throughout the country. Sacred Fig was unintentionally introduced to Israel because of horticulture practices and its associated pollinator wasp was also present in the country by the 1960s, which led to its widespread distribution https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banyan https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aegle_marmelos  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saraca_asoca https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphonso_(mango) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azadirachta_indica   Edited June 18, 2019 by LordGood spoiler tag to condense page

LordGood
tropic terrain textures can look good, but they're a bit tricky to use. I use the plant/dirt variations and gradually transition to those smooth grass textures, otherwise way too jarring or just cover it in a staggering amount flora, that's more fun anyhow new trees are in by the by

PS: check the materials in some of your tree actors. Some don't use the normal and spec maps as you probably intend Edited June 19, 2019 by wowgetoffyourcellphone
LordGood
If you see normal and spec maps not used, they're likely broken to a degree, arecas and atlas cedars have the parallax warping real bad

Stan`
I need to write a tutorial for this explaining parallax and normal maps. Some facts: we use directX normal maps, not opengl ones (the shaders do the inversion for us) OpenGL shows how it will look in game (outward bump) Alpha channel of the normal map controls the height, the more transparent the higher (Usually using ao works fine for the mask)Â

wackyserious
Loving those stranglers, we locally call it here as balete trees, it is often associated with folklore and superstition. I could attest the need for monkeys , cited by Sundiata. Mango trees would be a good addition too, as well as Indian Almonds, we locally call it as talisay trees and are a common sight in Southeast Asia, I believe. Also if you would be having Nipa huts in your mod, that would be very awesome..
