Eraser
I was always wondering since I saw the angle this siege machine hits: what about if the wall is bigger than the hitting angle? Then this machine's size might have been truly enormous to hit most structures. More or less like the size of a siege tower.
Hemachandra
I wonder if the developers are planning to expand the variety of siege weapons for the Persians? As far as I know, there were also buildings without a tower. This could be a cheaper version. wowgetoffyourcellphone
Also, Persians did have access to catapults. The inhabitants of the Persian city of Tyre famously used many types of catapults and bolt shooters against the attacking Macedonians. Their defense was so dogged, they angered Alexander so much that when he finally took the city he had all of its citizens enslaved or killed.
real_tabasco_sauce
I think adding catas and bolts would have to come with some kind of nerf because then there would basically be nothing the civ can't do.

Well, they have no swordsmen or slingers.
real_tabasco_sauce
true, but their cavalry can cover so many bases better than swordsmen and slingers. Its just such a strong mid game and late game civ, i'd hesitate to add the additional capabilities.

Even with their max population bonus, I don't get the feeling of giant armies from the Persians, Mauryas, and Han, so that's another thing we could look at. If you have 60 archers and the Persian enemy also has 60 archers, then no, they don't seem like a large intimidating force.

More primitive or the same as the Greek ones?
