  1. On maps with few ressources one thinks twice whether sending their wounded ships directly to death or giving them a second chance by repairing them. Got back here when finding out there's a new ticket #6777 for this feature request by @Langbart.
  2. Yeah, I found sth. that makes me eager to learn more in this matter: Line 276 Thank you very much!
  3. It's been nearly five years and I still don't understand this behaviour. Had a match with six PetraAIs with the last release of the game and once I built a market and many established routes with me, one of them was annoyed by another one trading with me. So she declared war on her. In the meantime, I got the chance to know a bit about the code, but couldn't find any snippets. May you be so kind and direct me to one? Thank you very much!
  4. Relevant suggestion, but ... Even though the comment section of both sites is synchronized, I found it a bit enerving, to have to search for it and to have to realize they are both the same. I would have appreciated an URL. Here for everyone else: https://www.moddb.com/games/0-ad and https://www.indiedb.com/games/0-ad per above: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDcSXqlDcbA&lc=UgyAAw44faDgLNCEpbx4AaABAg (comment is highlighted)
  5. FYI: Ticket was closed by @Langbart yesterday, because of being a duplicate of #6025 and #3684.
  9. Perfect, now I better understand this matter! Therefore I proceeded to create Ticket #6770
  10. Hey folks, how do we proceed in this case? Do we need one, two, more or none tickets to target these issues (reached, sent, bartered etc.)? Do the translation problems be easily solved by translaters action?
  11. Hi @Silierand @vladislavbelov, thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately despite the one from @Stan`, I did not really understand your discussed points. How may we describe a needed ticket? Thank you very much in advance!
  12. Dear community, as a German speaker normally I do not have problems with compounds (long terms). The publisher of Germanys best known dictionary, Duden, even has a special web page for that issue. But sometimes international projects give us compound-lovers not enough space in their translations. 0 A.D. is no different. I have to admit this isn't my first attempt in this topic. This thread might be the space for future reporting of issues like the following: The in-game 'Summary'—equal if in the running game or after the victory of one of the players—contains many headings of columns. Well, you probably guess what my problem is ... Some words are cut at their beginning as well as at their ending. Summary1.png shows the first tab of the Summary, which contains the term 'Gesamtpunktzahl' (total points). Summary2.png shows the second tab, which contains the terms 'Wirtschaftlich' (?!) and 'Verwaltungssitz' (CC). Summary3.png shows the third tab, which contains the term 'Belagerungswaffen' (?!). Summary4.png shows the sixths tab, containing 'Verhältnis Getötet/Gestorben', 'Kartenkontrolle (Spitzenwert)', 'Kartenkontrolle (Ende)' and 'Kartenerkundung'. The other tabs are free from overlapping texts. One could say: 'German translators: Just search shorter words!' But this doesn't always helps. The game must be understandable. My proposal: Please give space to the column headings. Enlarge the space between the columns generally or do it language-dependent. Then it is easier to identify where a word ends and the other begins. Make the widths of column headings dynamic. I am delighted to hear your feedback! Probably we can create a ticket after creating some mutual understanding. Have a good evening, night, morning or afternoon—wherever you are!
  13. And then the workers or working eles take fire as well? Idea that came to my mind after submitting: Priest could prevent workers from taking fire. Well, this whole workflow would add much complexity.
  14. New fire brigade units could be needed as well-or as an aura of a hero
  15. I like this improvement as well as I like the referenced Tree falling proposal. Thanks for notifying us!
  16. Indeed, the current version of Line 494 is as following: 491 #: gui/session/chat/ChatMessageFormatSimulation.js:114 492 #, javascript-format 493 msgid "%(player)s has reached the %(phaseName)s." 494 msgstr "%(player)s hat die %(phaseName)s erreicht."
  17. After some browsing through the code (searching via github is really nice) I found the core of those phrases. 'has reached' has its source beginning at line 113 of binaries/data/mods/public/gui/session/chat/ChatMessageFormatSimulation.js 'has sent' is in the same file beginning with line 153 Now I fail to figure out, where to find the translation of it. May I ask for a tip?
  18. Our beloved video game got featured on German tech news platform Golem.de: https://www.golem.de/news/openttd-wesnoth-co-quelloffen-wuseln-und-aufbauen-2302-172204-2.html
  19. Beweis in diesem großartigen maximal vierminütigen Spiel. commands.txt metadata.json
  21. Using the German translation and German keyboard it's on the circumflex key (^)-on the same key position under Escape (Esc) like in en-US. I don't like seeing the string for the advice of 'how to close the console' not being translated in the last alpha version.
  22. Well, in this case, it would be useful to have a neutral position to all players in the beginning (maybe including ceasefire) without team allocation. Being allied to everyone in the beginning and not winning would cause some kind of endless game—maybe only interrupted by having defeated everyone else. Personally I do not see the need, but I respect yours.
  23. I like the status quo as well as @hyperion and don't think we need a change.
