You cannot edit them. You either have to use an existing animation, or create a new one from scratch in e.g. Blender. You'll most likely have to create a new unit model as well in that case though. But again, most likely there is an existing animation you can use already, just by changing the XML for the unit. Maybe the 2handed sword animation is useful for what you want to do? I suggest you take a look at champion_unit_3.xml in the celts folder and base it on that (just change the broadsword to an axe), and see if that's ok enough.

I don't believe we've been asked to change it We can't read your minds you know I will now though (even though I would say Bronze Age Mod is much clearer as to what it is, but it's up to you how you do things ).
-
Looting is already in the game Every time your units kill enemy units you get a small percentage of loot automatically. We do need to find a way to make it more obvious though
-
Plus generally speaking siege engines should be used to destroy buildings rather than units
-
It could also be useful for the main game The Iberians have a fireship after all

Strictly speaking Michael, aka Mythos_Ruler, is the Project Leader though http://play0ad.com/about/organization/ Has some more information on the more formal parts of how we're organized, but apart from that it's pretty democratic/community driven
-
That depends on what changes have been made, if only .dae files, png files, XML files and other art files have been changed since your last update = no need to recompile, if js/json files have been changed = most likely no recompile needed, if .cpp, and .h files = you have to recompile.

The relation between the Rise of the East mod and the original game
feneur replied to Sturm's topic in Help & Feedback
I would say there are two main reasons: One is respect, they have said that they want to do this as a mod, so then it would be rude of us to just ignore that and include it anyway. Especially since they have a good reason: to show what's possible via modding and inspire others to create mods of their own Two, there is no reason to include a half-finished civilization. Once it's finished there might be reasons to consider including it in the main game, but not when it's just a few units and buildings and objects. -
Not sure what you're asking for. SVN only downloads files which have been changed (or new files which have been added), if that is what you're asking.

As long as the notifications are set that way you get an email to your inbox, but the actual messages are sent to a private message inbox here on the forums. You can access it by clicking on Messenger up right next to the notification icon at the top.
-
It should show that you have received one, but the messages tab is where the message itself is displayed. The notification tab should also display e.g. when someone quotes your post (so this should show up there - as well as in the Notifications dropdown at the top), there are settings for exactly shows up there though. Click on your username in the top bar, then on My Settings, then on Notification Options on the left and choose there what kind of notifications you want to receive for what kind of events.

Is pyrogenesis a 3D-engine or a RTS-game-engine ?
feneur replied to ProvencalLeGaullois's topic in Game Modification
Well, strictly speaking the engine is 3D (though parts of it is more like 2.5D, i.e. the terrain), but it probably wouldn't hurt to add RTS to the description to make it clearer that it's not a more general purpose 3D engine, but rather an RTS engine that is 3D -
When you click on your profile there is a tab to the left that says "Profile feed", there you can add a message which will be displayed there. And I don't recall anyone asking for an unacceptable title.

[AI] creating a unit by event/random
feneur replied to ProvencalLeGaullois's topic in Game Development & Technical Discussion
I don't know the code, so take my words with more than a grain of salt, but shouldn't the AI be able to generate units (and possibly buildings as well?) the same way a human can use cheats? And I certainly recall reading about the AI doing things after a set amount of time, so that should at least be possible. -
when aplha 15 gonne be released?
feneur replied to newcivs's topic in Introductions & Off-Topic Discussion
And a lot of the time we can't know fur sure either Sometimes things take longer to implement than we assume, sometimes bugs shows up in the last minute, sometimes people who are able to work on the final things are busy. -
It can be anything as long as it's not illegal/obscene or something (And not too long either Would be bad to have a custom title that was so long it took up more space than people's posts after all )
-
Wildfire Games team members with access to the forum administration interface, and you can just post here
-
I would say both Technically it will most likely be a completely separate game, but we do intend to include the civs from part one. So if any new features are added new civs should also be able to make use of them, you should be able to play with a part 1 civ against a part 2 civ, etc.
-
It doesn't matter. If you only care about reaching that number you'll most likely not make very good posts, and then they will get deleted, and you will not reach the number anyway I think it's 1,000 or so though, so it's not something you should reach within a month or so, but perhaps rather within a year or so if you're reasonably active If you have a title you really want to have you can always just ask us beforehand and we might change it
-
Unless the topic has been moved it's in the right place You are most likely correct about the issue though, saved games should not be expected to work between version, even SVN revisions (in most cases they probably will, but it's better to assume they won't and finish playing the match before updating ).
-
Yup, it does. I don't have the exact numbers in my head, but there are different categories, and then after a certain point one can create a custom title
-
I guess it was never changed the last time I've changed it now though.

Here you clearly wrote qbot. Please read through what you write before you click post It will be a lot easier for us to help you if we can understand what you are talking about.
