  1. No, I suggest that when you argue about the accuracy of something, make sure what you say is accurate. That's all I'm saying.
  2. As a farmer's son I can assure you that the wheat in the picture is indeed fully grown (the ears are only developed when the plant has reached its final height).
  3. His game/mod, he's hoping to make something he can sell
  4. It's not going to appear in Alpha 18 as Alpha 18 is just about out, but we'll see what the AI developer/s are up to for future versions
  5. Judging by this post: http://omrilahav.com/1/post/2014/12/0-ad-music-blog-4-tools-of-the-trade.html from the composers blog (he's got a bunch of other posts with more information about the creation of the music and the people (and instruments) who have helped make it what it is, so I can recommend checking his blog out a bit further than just that post) I'd say it is
  6. Have you tried removing the dev PPA repository from your list of repositories?
  7. Ah, now I can see it on my computer as well. I guess I took what he said about being parallel literally It's almost at a level where it's hard to tell if it's actually red or if it's an optical illusion though I't only far away and in a certain angle. I do agree that it doesn't look right though, I'm just uncertain whether or not it's actually wrong or just looks wrong
  8. That's strange. Paste is enabled in the menu for me after a selection has been copied.
  9. Please add some more information, I couldn't even find a fish that had an alpha texture (I just looked at fishes quickly in Atlas, so I might have missed something), and wasn't able to reproduce the issue. A screenshot would be very helpful indeed so we can get an idea of what you're seeing.
  10. Just tested and it works fine as far as I can tell. Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V or using the Edit menu. You do get the objects "floating" though, i.e. you need to click to place them, so perhaps your cursor is just outside of the map area when you try to paste?
  11. What do you mean by patterns? I see a bunch of logs, nice looking logs for sure, but I fail to see the pattern Unless the pattern is that they are all logs? :-/
  12. They were not removed in that sense/because of that reason though. Big parts of the game were rewritten and that meant that a lot, if not all, of the gameplay features were "removed". I can't remember morale having been implemented in my time with the project, so perhaps that was gone in an even earlier rewrite, but stamina and aura display were removed in the "simulation rewrite" Philip did a couple of years ago. That rewrite has, as far as I've understood it at least, has meant a lot to make development easier, and hopefully make the game run better.
  13. I'm in favor, will try and make sure Aviv and Adarsh sees this as replies as well.
  14. Are you saying you want a way to chat that is displayed at the same time in both lobby, match setup and during the actual game (or at least the first two)? Do you have any ideas for how it would best be displayed/work? To me it seems a bit difficult to do well as there might be things discussed in the match setup which wouldn't make sense for other players to see etc.
  15. 0 A.D. is not just a war game, but rather a warfare/economy game. Some people define games which deal only with the actual battlefield activities Real Time Tactical games, as Strategy does include a bit more than just the fighting. On a related note: in my experience most related games which have come out in recent years do focus on the tactical side rather than the bigger picture/having economy as well, so personally I'm glad that we try and do a bit of both
  16. Hmm, there might be another error further up the log. Could you please get the log files (see http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths for where to find them), put them in an archive file and attach that here?
  17. I like it, fitting + certainly not the most commonly known word
  18. Please calm down one notch both Roland and iNcog. It's a lot more likely that your opinion will be considered if your opinion is what is being presented and not arguments about other things/why your opponent is wrong. Also, I did not say that a lack of information was the only reason. The (to my knowledge) limited knowledge makes it harder though. Personally I think we have too many civilizations already, but thankfully this isn't my game, but a collaborate effort, so my opinion is only a limited part of the whole (and I have to bow to the majority/those who actually work on implementing things). What's actually more important is the time needed to create it. I believe I told you this before, but that's pretty irrelevant, the main thing is that I'm now: It's a lot more likely that a well-developed mod will be included in the game than that arguments and accusations are going to encourage anyone to work on something.
  19. It's ok, I just want to encourage you to think one extra time before posting
  20. Yup, just checked and it's actually building at this very moment So should be very updated really soon That wasn't what he was asking. He asked about the development PPA, not the release one. It's really nice of you to want to help out, but if you are not certain it's better that you don't reply as there is a risk that your reply will just confuse people instead of help them.
  21. Hmm, for me it's just 185MB. (Also note that that is the size on disk, i.e. not the size when downloading.) In either case, we have been discussing and planning to try and change to using Git instead (which would include ways to only get the source code and not have the Windows-only binary files as well). That is dependent on having easy ways for people who need the binaries to get them, plus we have been waiting for our new server to be set up. Now we've started to get things set up on it though, so it might happen some time soon as long as other issues have a solution.
  22. Two players (or more) control one single faction. It's been suggested before, and might end up in the game. It's probably not the easiest task though as the system needs to handle what to do if it gets orders to e.g. move the same unit to two different places, maybe at the same time. It should definitely be possible to do in one way or another though, especially if people are ok with things like that possibly not giving the expected result.
  23. Most likely not, unless he's started very recently.
