  1. Congratulations Josh!!! No surprise to us I must say Totally deserved
  2. Technically listed under Protestant Christian I prefer to think of myself as a simply Christian.
  3. Reading Book 10 in the Wheel of Time series, Crossroads of Twilight by Robert Jordan. A serious alternative to Arda (or companion ).
  4. At this point there are no plans to have a horseman intentionally dismount and fight. Although Celts and Germans were particularly well known for this, it was not a common practice among other nations. Nor are we going to have them switch horses when the mount happens to be wounded. The added level of complexity is more then is necessary atm in this stage of development. As it stands, when your cavalryman gets capped, so does the horse. It may happen in the future, but not for Part I certainly
  5. Presently I am reading "Feathered Serpent" by Colin Falconer, fun book about the conquest of Mexico by the Spanish. I also just finished "Birds of Prey" by Wilbur Smith, set in the 17th century during the reign of Charles the Second. Ship battles and swordfights aplenty Another one I read recently and really enjoyed was "The Runaway Jury" by John Grisham.
  6. Its actually none of them, since most of my background is Sarmatian
  7. Dude! That should be a great experience What kind of work are you going to be doing?
  8. Very very cool There is more out there to learn and comprehend then we will ever have time for And the whole time it was lurking out there while astronmers were taking pictures of galaxies billions of light years away
  9. My estimation would be 20% if we're lucky
  10. I agree Cory The last two episodes had me grimacing. Combat dungeon? Beast-commanding gladiator/assassian? A chicken boy instead of the battle-hardened young man of history? But it is fun in its own way
  11. Tim you look oddly similar to Orlando Bloom Brand spanking new pic of me
  12. DUDE!!! Good luck and don't carry any money/debit cards with you
  13. My ambition in life is to have a comfortable living from an enjoyable job, a home, quiet life filled with fun and good friends, plus perhaps a family in the future. Nothing grand or glorious, but its what I want
  14. Actor: Derek Jacobi Actress: Hmmmm don't really have one....for eye candy Monica Bellucci, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Angelina Jolie are high up there. I guess I have something for dark haired Mediterranean women Movie: Gladiator, although I also enjoy other sword and sandal flicks, along with Equilibrium, Top Gun, Bourne series, and martial arts movies like Mortal Kombat. As long as it has a reasonable amount of gratuitous fighting and violence in it, I'll probably like it. Color: Black and red Band: No real band that I like, my tastes are wide-ranging Book: The Iliad of Homer Food: Pizza, although I'm also partial to pastas of various forms Hobby: Martial arts with a capital MA Although at this point I am limited to Asian styles, I plan to expand to European forms.
  15. One can definately expect many unofficial mods, plus perhaps some official packs as well Long way off, but who knows?
  16. I like Moore's Clothing for Men, some great looking suits, jackets, and pants there. For everything else, Walmart, Saans, Zellers, wherever, doesn't matter to me
  17. So would I actually My brother and I actually created a sci-fi universe over the course of 3 years, complete with 8 main races and dozens of minor ones. We designed probably over 200 ships, with technical readouts and armaments, along with tanks, apcs, artillery, landing craft, hover-bikes, rifles, grenades, side arms, knives, body armor, languages, cultures, buildings, mythology, and customs.
  18. Juggernaut, if I remember correctly, was the name of a multi-armed Hindu war god. It came to mean an unstoppable opponent with overwhelming firepower. @ John - Oh I didn't mean anything nasty or anything there, just so you know The clibinarii you are describing are Byzantine I believe, Roman clibs were just like cataphracts with much more armor and armed with a lance. @ Jason - You should make sci-fi .......wait, I love sci-fi.....
  19. Right Or he coulda been an average joe who happened to walk into the store where a series of coincedences had taken place First thing about using violence, make absolutely, without a DOUBT that it is warranted.
  20. Good list of Roman troops there, covering a spread of 600 years of history But I have to ask, clibanarii for horse archer? With all that armor? An option for a Roman cavalry javelineer is the standard 1st and 2nd century AD light horseman, who carried a bundle of javelins on his saddle, along with the Late Roman javelin-armed light horse.
  21. But if he had turned out to be harmless (which he was) I'd be in quite the situation, wouldn't I? Not to mention him..... I bet you'd like to have a broken nose, concussion, and hyperextended elbow all at once? Violence is only a last resort, and that line hadn't been crossed.
  22. Why would I want to do that Joseph? He hadn't threatened me or anyone else, so why should I go off on him?
