  2. This was the idea for what they would look like created by @wowgetoffyourcellphone
  3. Yeah, just going by the design document.
  4. The Seleucids arent allowed to have slingers, right?
  5. I meant in terms of faction units. For example, over half of the Ptolemaic roster is designated as mercenary, but what does that mean? If nothing, it should mean something to balance the extra cost. Perhaps they are created already halfway to level two, or they have an xp bonus.
  6. So, the design docs add a portion to merc units that says, "This is a mercenary, with all the traits this designation entails." What does this designation entail, besides the unit being more expensive?
  7. In the design document it is the Mercenary Camp. I'm probably wrong but I thought the word "Kleroukhia was specifically Seleucid.

Yeah, I updated, booted it up and was sad.....
  9. Oh! Sorry! I meant like pictures of units for design purposes. I just wanted to give Lord Good a quick heads up. I was wondering if there were any other design/art pictures that were needed.
  10. @LordGood The Seleucid walls leave gaps between walls and towers.
  11. Oooo! Is this the un-official balance team?
  12. I would like to discuss the possibility of adding the Royal Agema Pikes as a second champ for the Ptolemies. It would do three things: 1, It would be historically accurate, as the Ptolemies did have an elite Greek citizen only phalanx (it was just small-ish) 2, It would balance the Ptolemaic roster, as right now with only one champ, they are severely under powered. 3, It would make the Seleucids not the best pike faction in the game, which is realistic, because while the Seleucid cav massively outperformed the Ptolemaics at Raphia (hence Seleucids being a good cav faction) the Seleucid phalanx was annihilated by the Ptolemaic phalanx. It would balance both factions (right now, the Ptolemaics are a crappier version of the Seleucids) by making one, cavalry stronger, and the other pike stronger, creating a nice balance, and offering players a real reason to choose Ptolemaics over Seleucids depending on favourite playstyle, cav or pikes.

So.... It can't draw the main cursor for the SVN version, therefore there is a constant error message. Just fyi.
  15. I'm just a tad confused why two of the successors are rushers. Historically, they had large cumbersome armies, and if one were to follow video game tropes, the barbarian civs, and Eastern civs would be rush, because they historically had cheap fast units.
  16. There's been small discussion to give them Aegma phalangites as a second champ, because with average cav, and expensive and lackluster infantry, they really need a boost that way. They are even more crippeled by the fact that the Aegma cav train VEEERY slowly, while the Seleucids dont have that problem due to Daphne Parade. Besides wood gathering, the Seleucids are better than the Ptolemaics in very way, which isnt very balanced....
  17. Well, the Seleucids are doing fairly well. Obviously, the Successors will come more into the meta once battalions/formations are completed. But the Ptolemaics are in a hard spot due to the lack of a second champ.
  18. In apparently all recorded instances of the SB of Baal appearing on the field, they fought as hoplites. Then why are they not using hoplite anims?
