  1. So... I tried to create a unit for a new faction. I believe I filled out all the correct files, but when I try to place it in Atlas, I get the following error message: CXeromyces: Failed to parse XML file simulation/templates/units/par_infantry_spearman.xml Failed to load entity template 'units/par_infantry_spearman' Is there a checklist of stuff that needs to be filled out when creating a faction?
  2. Found it! Thanks, now it gives me a different error, but I'm assuming it's because I've referenced techs and units and probably other files that don't exist yet..
  3. hmmm..... The line before is ], and I fixed the period, but it still gives me an error.. The exact error is: JParse expected "," or "]" after array element in line 30 column 12.
  4. I'm trying to create a civ json for the Parthians, but every time I open up Pyrogenesis, it claims that their is an error at line 30 col 12, which is an indented space before "Heroes": "Heroes": [ { "Name": "Pacorus II", "Class": "", "Armament": "", "Emblem": "", "History": "Pacorus gave some stuff to China." }, { "Name": "Mithridates III", "Class": "", "Armament": "", "Emblem": "". "History": "He done did @#$%." } ] } ],
  5. In general, they were Greek, yes. But it was apparently fairly diverse because the Guard was made of up high nobles and those close to the Pharaoh. At the time, a lot of those close to the Pharaoh were of Greek descent, but there were some native Egyptians as well.
  6. I know that the colors are oversatured ingame to easily distinguish teams, but I love the more realistic muted colors!
  7. These look amazing!! When will they be put onto the SVN version?
  8. On his left (our right) shoulder, those line could be softened by blurring.
  9. So the Ptolemaic barbarian sword mercenary is labeled as "Gallic". Is this technically correct? The word Gallic usually pertains to the Gauls, ergo to France, which would be quite a distance to get mercs. The most common opinion of historians is that the Ptolemaics purchased their barbarian swords from Galatia, which is not in France.
  10. I believe (I may be wrong) that the percentage of resources is the percentage of that resource traded. So, if food is at 43%, then 43% of your exports are food. I think. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.
  11. I guess, I mean that while, for example, pikes or hoplites wont stay in formation when they attack, but there was apparently a plan to make them have increased damage and/or health when in formation. Possibly we could have those temporarily have those implemeted as auras to see how that affects unit interactions.
  12. Does the game have the ability to use combat auras yet? Like, to increase stats? For instance, I know that the code for maintaining formation while attacking isn't done yet, but possibly could the damage/defense bonuses for whatever formations be implemented as an aura for the purpose of seeing how formation attack units interact on the battlefield in terms of stats?
  13. I just noticed the Noldorian vessel in Atlas.....
  14. I like this because it'll really help balance the Ptolemaics/give them a fighting chance.
  15. And once the unit model for the cataphract is complete, that can be used for the driver
  16. Do they have a higher capture rate? That might not be a bad idea, because more realistically, a sword is better for fighting in tight buildings than a spear.
  17. we could use this for one of the Antiochus' maybe....
  18. Question: Would the towers be made of stone? I know both the successor elephants have stone towers, but wouldn't that be REALLY heavy, even for an elephant? Wouldn't wood be better?
  19. ugghghg.. I tried to look up references for the Dahae Horse archers, but 6 of the pics on Google Images were from this exact thread, or was a link to my Wildfire games Profile......
  20. why can't we use these as elite models for the median cav?
  21. Do we have a mask for the cataphract?
  22. These are references I've found for Seleucus Nicator. The first is a famous bust of him, the second is a steam workshop version of him for Civilization 5, and the final is a version of him from, I beleive, an Indian television show or perhaps a Ballywood movie.
