  1. Lolz. But in this case A=C. I'm just going based off of experience (ba dum tiss) I watch enemy troops level up during a fight, but my pikes will not. Even when it is a duel, just spears vs pikes, the spears lvl up faster due to more damage at a faster rate.
  2. I just realized that if we give the Ptolemaics a "super pike" they'll have the strongest pikes in the game? Is that historically accurate?
  3. Well still, in that case. It's still the same issue.
  4. In that case, could pikes be given a little boost? In battles, other units level up in two to three times less it takes pikes to level, due to the slow speed of their attacks. I've encountered a problem a lot, where the spears I'm fighting are leveling up, but my pikes are not.
  5. This there a way to change one's display name?
  6. How is xp calculated in SVN? Is it on hit or based off of damage delt?
  7. When will these be put in the SVN? (Unrelated note) The Aegma cav use a slashing for spears. Fyi. And I just realized the elephants have carthaginian drivers and seleucid pikes in the box.
  8. The bronze shields are already the Seleucid basic pike. Might get a tad confusing....
  9. Agreed. Though maybe a different name....? Pharaoh's guard perhaps? Hellenic Royal Guard?
  10. Wondering: Will the Ptolemies get another champion? Just the Agema cav makes hem a little weak on the field. Everybody else has two champs.
  11. Question: Has there been any headway on Seleucid unit designs research? I can start looking at the Dahea horse, because right now they just turn into Persian units visually when they rank up. I'm also gonna look into the Thracian falksmen.
  12. Question: Do the Seleucids have unique walls?
  13. Other ideas: A way to specify facing of a formation. Rise of Nations and Rise and Fall had this. It'll be extremely useful to Greek and Hellenes factions where formation facing is key. Also, to aide in units fighting in formation, and micro-ing of formations, possibly we could do like what Rise and Fall did; once single units were grouped in a formation, selecting a single unit in the formation once would select the entire formation, while double clicking on that unit would select just that unit. A mechanic to give back building to an ally. Example: My Roman ally had three barracks captured by Carthage. I captured the barracks for myself, but I couldn't give them back to my ally, who sorely needed them. And finally, a small detail, could possibly garrison flags match the faction that occupies the building. Example: Carthage had garrisoned units in Rome's barracks, put the garrison flag was still Roman. Just a small detail.
  14. No, the community decided to keep it, but my idea was to make at least the infantry act in a similar way to the Macedonian upgrade from Hypaspist to SS, to more accurately replicate history, but that belongs on a different topic. But nothing being changed, so.
  15. Maybe...... Though it would have to be expensive, and possible a pair tech for the MC between fortress and CC, but I wonder, could a fortress survive territory wise by itself, or would it eventually fall?
  16. The Ptolemies? Definitely, but that should be discussed on a different thread. (Along with my suggestion to re-work the Seleucid Champ system. ;p )
  17. The Persians do it, I know that! But you are right, it seems to take some factions longer to use champs. That match I had a Macedonian AI ally, and by the time our Persian AI enemy had champs, the Macedonian had none.
  18. They do. Give them a LONG time and they'll start spamming them. Almost lost a match because of that.
  19. Well, I was thinking it's broken, but in a different way....
  20. Rise and Fall had a nice ramming mechanic, but with the size of 0 ad's bodies of water, it might not be enough room to have tactical naval mechanics.
