  1. Just trying to make religion a factor without making it complicated.
  2. The heroes were moved from the Fortress to the CC because at the time the Fortress had 5 champions, 3 heroes, and 2 siege engines. In other words, overloaded. Since then, siege were moved to Arsenals and War Elephants and Chariots moved elsewhere too. The original reason for the hero move is no longer there.
  3. Perhaps the mod can take a cue from Delenda Est and add a meta resource. In DE you gain the Glory resource by building Cult Statues and praising them with your units. In Millennium AD perhaps you can gain the Favor resource that you use for Temple techs, special techs, and training heroes. How it's gathered could be by building Temples/Mosques/Churches.
  4. Right. We can have any number of heroes available to choose from, but can have a match limit of 3. Miltiades and/or Aristides can be available as Hoplite-centric options for Athenians.
  5. Glory isn't tradeable or tributable. I assume 'rare resources' could be. So imagine a diamond mine on the map, you could gather from it and then use it for something special or send it to a different player or convert it to a different resource at the market. I imagine rare resources would net a high value in trading/bartering and be usable for impactful special features or techs.
  6. Yes, the current iteration of the mod has a flame attack for the Byzantine bireme.
  7. I'm thinking leave off the 2 smaller structure on the right, but keeping the 2 smaller ones on the left, plus a larger temple and stairs of course.
  8. People have done such a good job on all of this artwork, it would be a shame to not allow players to enjoy their work.
  9. Kievan Rus. I am working on bringing Millennium AD back to life for Alpha 26. Should take about a week. Terra Magna Alpha 26 is already uploaded and awaiting verification: https://0ad.old.mod.io/terra-magna
  10. I agree, the presentation can be vastly improved. Are you by change any good at making mockups?
  11. Maybe "Themistoclean Walls." https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Themistoclean_Wall
  12. This is not bad, since in the game the icon is very small. The lack of detail will not hinder it. In fact, there will probably be less aliasing when resized.
  13. Brown background = units and buildings Blue background = techs
  14. At the top of the forum would be one good place (where the blue download ribbon currently is).
  15. We can create a generic "General" unit for each civ that can be used in Herocide mode. Basically, it'd mix and match textures and props to make a new unique unit specifically for Herocide. About Caesar and Mark Antony, I'd love to add them, honestly. Atlas-only units are low priority or projects of opportunity for now. Honestly, creating/modding additional historical heroes would be a great project for someone just starting out in modding. The modding communities of a lot of games are chock full of these kinds of little projects. The good thing about 0 A.D. is that if your mod is good quality then it' very likely to be included in the base game for wider exposure to your work. You generally don't find that kind of thing in a commercial game. I'm currently updating Terra Magna, Millennium A.D., Two-Gendered Citizens, Aristeia, and Ponies Ascendant to Alpha 26 status so we can have all of them available to players again. After that, encouraging people to get into modding can be my next thing (interspersed with bug fixing, which is a constant @#$%).
  16. This. Work has to be done to balance the heroes.
