  1. Seleucid can have these for mercenaries (as in Delenda Est): Thracian Swordman Arab Skirmisher (very very large contingent in Daphne Parade) Cretan Archer Dahae Horse Archer Galatian Cavalry Train them from capturable mercenary camps on map. Bactrians, Medians, and Persians, especially the Hellenized, made up a lot of the heavy cavalry, Companians and Cataphracts. Medians and Persians also provide light cavalry.
  2. I think too the cataphract need new animation since they use both hand to wield the cavalry pike or kontos. They should have heavy charge bonus but low regular attack. This game really need to add charging for tactical depth.
  3. Romanized swords part of Daphne Parade, is champoion infantry at Fortress. Daphne Parade is when they make their big debut as part of tentative reforms of Seleucid army. They are the men in their prime and as big as the Silver Shields regiment (which is now 1/2 the size it once was which make me believe the core of Romanized Sword regiment come from the Silver Shields, the men were previously Silver Shields). I think they should be special, so should not be regular citizen-solder. I'll keep them as champion in my mod.
  4. The Seleucid in this game represent Battle of Magnesia, Battle of Raphia, Daphne Parade.
  5. had to copypasta and edit from his work fixing the Roman rooftiles many months ago. It's sad official team ignore work like his and let languish on forum. Same goe for LordGood's farms. Why have they not been implement in public mod?
  6. Basically the Insula is the "house" for the Principate Romans. It cost 250 and 100 , and gives 25 . It covers 2x as much ground as a Republican Roman house, being 2 Republican Roman houses wide (but same depth, so the footprint is a rectangle). Here, show the footprint: The 2 story part of Market looks very mich like how a Insula can look. Here is great reference: Need at least 3 variation.
  7. Cannot make fantom button as first button that equal to cancel? Actual order of buttons equates to end-user experience based upon expectation. it is odd that thousand of other application can make this work but 0 A.D. cannot. Anyway, my main thing was that the comment in the ticket was saying that Windows standard was 'No' on left, which is untrue. It stuck in the face as wrong.
  8. The cavalry right now use Imperial Gallic helmets, but we can do better for the Batavians and Auxiliary cavalry dudes. Two variation: I like the two-tone of color on these^.
  9. Guys, the Praetorians in Delenda Est are cavalry (I can throw in a Praetorian foot soldier into the mod too for scenario or other purpose). And of course these helmets can be use for other soldier too. I think the primary Praetorian helmet variations can be these two: Embellished Attic helmet. Probably only use when in parade or when in presence of emperor as bodyguard, nevertheless would make for a distinct helmet. I think it would have a row of vertical feather along the top from front to back, like 10-15 feather. Imperial Italic An embellish type of Imperial Gallic helmet. For Praetorians it can have the feathers instead of plume like the Attic one above. Feathers for Both Instead of solid crest, would be nice to distnguish with row of feathers instead, this: They would need to be player color of cours because we cannot ignore such a prominent area for player color.
  10. I think this one with about 10 feathers along the top would be good. The Praetorians in the mod are cavalry. Also, the Imperial Italic G helmet with feathers instead of horse crest would be good to have too: (Feathers...) There are other cavalry helmet that would be good to have too. I will make threads.
  11. In some latest commit and on Trac (here: http://trac.wildfiregames.com/ticket/3524 ) it is claim that Windows button order is 'No' on left and 'Yes' on right, ("The convention is to have "No" on the left-hand-side as in windows." - Trac). This is incorrect, I wonder how such mistake can be made. It make it awkward in the game. Almost every Window dialog I have seen (and I just check right now) is: [ Yes ] [ No ] [ Cancel ] Positive action on left, negative action on right look like Windows standard. 0 A.D. is opposite of this for some reason. How can it be claim that it is not this way? Counter example would be good tho. Not attack, just wonder. I can be wrong. Maybe there is some other justification.
  12. I will texture Praetorians today. They might needa new helmet (I maybe make "helmet" thread soon). I sync to Github all the new Legionary Barrack tech and Lanciarius visual improvement today. Onager texture for now can just be a 1x1 brown color until someone unwrap and make real texture. New buildings should be: Colosseum Wonder Auxiliary Barracks (or Legionary Barracks -- one can use the old barrack model and the other can use a new model) Hadrian's Wall models for Siege Walls upgrade.
  13. k guys. For Legionary Barracks I have these tech so far: Training tech line Levy Legionaries (Legionary Infantry -10% train time) -> Mobilize Legions (Faster batch training) -> Recall the Evocati (Insanely fast batch training) Rank Promotion tech line Decanus (Upgrade Legionarius to Advanced Rank) -> Optio (Upgrade Legionarius to Elite Rank) -> Primus Pilus (Reduce promotion to Centurion from 5 kills to 1 kill) Legionary Infantry Health "Aquila" Eagle Standards (Legionary Infantry +10% health) May need help to think of some tech for Auxiliary Barracks.
  14. Guys, let's talk about thing that can improve gameplay. Lets not talk about high-level features like formations. I'll give you example: Player and AI should be able to build building over single tree. This can help AI greatly when place building and gives players easier management of building placement. Tree don't block building placement and disappear when foundation put down. This can be done with tag or element in template so we can make mines unbuildable but trees and some eye candy buildable. (In my mod I'd make groves unbuildable but single tree buildable). When task player to chop a tree, attack a enemy structure or unit, or go mine metal, or any task like this, the target should flash white, briefl, to give player feedback to the eye.Any other idea like these? Low-level. Not high-level concept.
  15. Then you should lose like a n00b. Praetorian Guard Cavalry for champion cavalry.
