  1. wraitii: the "cheats" ai should use are resource , population and speed cheats (a version of the latter is defined just for ai which you can define the rate yourself). i personally don't want a bunch of planes bombarding my base even if i am fighting a super hard ai.
  2. mappreview.zip Some fixed previews. My internet connection isn't very stable these days and it hurts SVN commit the most. Can someone else commit these? We really need an automated way to stretch these previews. What was the way people suggested earlier?
  3. I'm going to make new previews for random maps if necessary. But we should consider some automatic way.

  5. IMO, if the number of players was high, we should make the first "round(s)" played as "4-free for all" and rest as "1v1". That's a good question. If the game crashed at the beginning, we'd have another match. But if it was late in the game, we should use the score from sim_log (which records the whole game). If there is no award yet and it is all for fun, I doubt people would lie about their games. Still if that happened, we can ask them to give us their "sim_log". I'm sure we can find the difference between "real" and "fake" sim_logs.

  7. Well, I have seen people find the idea interesting. But this is the only comment about it. Anyway, if we are going to do it, we should define the layout of the competitions. Also we should inform people about such a tournament. So ladies and gentlemen, if you like to compete, declare it here
  8. In the end, only one core AI (probably qBot xp) will remain and will have different variants named "Easy, Medium, etc.". But currently, I agree with you.
  9. juBot is our "easy" AI. Some people can't play against qBot and they'll get irritated if there is no easier AI.
  10. We already have staff multiplayer. But how about a community tournament after each alpha? The winner(s) could have an honor badge under his/her forum avatar. I think the game is already mature enough for such tournaments. Don't you think so?

  12. I have encountered this error before. How many meshes are you exporting? The exporter only supports one mesh per file. I used export selected. That may help.

  20. But you can set the default height to 4, can't you? It is currently -100 (actually less than that because there is a height range in the game)
  21. If we change the default terrain height in .json file to something like 4, if the painter function fails, we won't see such a thing.
