Luckily for both of your ideas, the code for Nodes and Battalions already exists, you’d just have to update.1 point

Squads or battalions for infantry units work really well together, because combining different specializations makes more sense than having separate units, in my opinion.1 point

Vanilla UI doesn't have space to display all unit action button, so it doesn't show it. You can use the hotkey as an alternative. I can also recommend using ModernGUI as others and myself contributed to fixing bugs and limitations of the game UI. There are at least 100+ bug fixs like this in the mod. You can also choose to wait a few decades for them to be addressed in vanilla (no sarcasm, just a extrapolation of the time to get one item merged), staff and contributors do whatever they can to make it happen but the process is slow by nature.1 point

@Pappy_reen Showing some love to the Wiki would be great. Back when the Wiki was on Trac (https://trac.wildfiregames.com/) the "help" link pointed to this: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/TracGuide, which is obviously no longer necessary, but an equivalent about the Gitea Wiki would be nice. I'm pretty sure you need contributor status in order to be able to edit the Wiki, which you usually receive after any pull request of you is merged. But I think that admins can also manually give the label to your account. @Stan`@Itms1 point

There's a game I played a long time ago called World in Conflict, and I really liked its gameplay. Victory was determined by capturing key points on the map. If there were a modern warfare mod for 0AD, we could apply this method alongside completely destroying opponents or capturing structures. I think with long-range units like artillery and missiles, destroying opponents could be very easy if the player just spammed them.1 point

1-Do a brainstorming session on what differentiates the gameplay of each faction. 2-Add a technological cultural tree that includes its entire cosmology and technical development.1 point

There are quite a few representations of Eagles in the religious art of Palmyra. The Eagle of Baalshamin in Palmyra In ancient pre-Islamic Syria, Baalshamin was the god of the sky and the "Lord of the Heavens" in the city of Palmyra. His two main attributes were lightning and the eagle. At the entrance of his famous temple in Palmyra (which was tragically destroyed by ISIS in 2015), a celebrated stone lintel relief prominently featured an eagle with outstretched wings, symbolizing divine power, sovereignty, and cosmic protection. https://virtual-museum-syria.org/palmyra/door-lintel-from-the-temple-of-baalshamin/ That's why it was used throughout Rome II. There is also another symbol of Zenobia riding a Lion. I'll look for it later.1 point

Potential Athenian design elements, which would be re-scaled obviously. They could even be combined into a texture sheet.1 point

+++++1. I think the same could be done for Structree. The LED proportions in DE is so much better for widescreens:1 point

I'm not really fond of "customizations" either, lots of code for little value. Having a single toggle for two UIs, the current "CRT" optimized one and a new one focusing on modern format 1080p and 16:9 supporting also 21:9 and whatever insanely wide monitors exist. The "LED" version would scale well on modern resolutions, be it 720p, 1080p, 1440p or even 2160p. It could also incorporate many of the suggested changes, I can't say I absolutely love the mock ups but they are much much better than what we currently have. Once the "LED" one is polished we can consider dropping the "CRT" one at some point.1 point

Thanks for the reply - I agree, as soon as I have things working for myself I wanted to make a 'getting started' page and work my way on through that. After a general browse it seems there is a lot of information on the wiki for technical people / contributors and far less for users, so wanted to add to that corpus. Hopefully @Stan`or somebody else can help out!1 point

Hello, I'm not 100% sure, but I would guess that's leftover from the old wiki, and I think it might have been a default page just talking about basic formatting etc, so it's not a big loss. You might want to take that as your first project: creating the Help page and figuring out what goes on there as you figure the wiki out. I would presume the first step would be to ask for edit/create permissions though, as that doesn't seem to come automatically. I'm not sure who to ask though, maybe @Stan` ?1 point

The overall Terms of Use forbid harmful and threatening behavior. This of course applies to game names as well. We've taken care about that specific case in the meantime.1 point

Athenian olive mill/press @Thorfinn the Shallow Minded @wowgetoffyourcellphone@real_tabasco_sauce and whoever is interested, mod file is attached, let me know what you think At the corner I tried to stack a three spart_path decals on top of the dirt decal, but sometimes they are hidden by the dirt decal. Is there a way to define priority of the decals in the actor file? olive_mill.zip1 point

Basically, I can't do it myself. I create these topics simply to gather or attract people with similar interests, like the topic about gunpowder, with the faint hope that if many interested people come together, there will be ideas and products, but that doesn't seem promising.0 points

I think would be nice that the game didn't allow to click to train a batch size if it is bigger than the pop cap you have remaining, maybe that the icon was showed red as it is showed when not enough res (So I am not housed anymore xD).. And that Han civ voices was in Chinese0 points
