  1. The comparison to AQ is not apt at all, when my critique is that while AQ is a standard feature of the game, your mod is not, and confers macro and micro benefits to some players out of the scope of the standard game unavailable to those without your mod.

  5. There have been so many posts in this thread (and that thread) saying that it is cheating. Just because it is public knowledge doesn't mean that it isn't cheating. There is no agreement on any of these items. If there was agreement it would be part of the vanilla game (and thereby not a "cheat"). The only reason why these cheats exist is because someone made the mod and no one can do anything to stop you from using it. Being transparent about cheating doesn't make you any less of a cheat. A cheat is anything that gives an advantage this is not universally agreed to. This mod gives an advantage to the user and is not publicly agreed to. This is a game with no referees to enforce the rules. The game relies on cooperation around the basic rules of the game. If we were to play a soccer match and I picked up the ball with my hands and ran it into the goal it would be cheating. It wouldn't matter that everyone could see me do it (public/transparent). And, it wouldn't matter if there was or wasn't referees to enforce the rules against against. No matter how public. No matter how transparent. A cheat is a cheat. And, players continued use of a mod in games where others call it a cheat loses any good will and benefit of the doubt those players ever had.

  6. TG Tournament 2 Hello everyone! It's with regret that we noted many players were unable to participate in the first tournament due to issues ranging from management hiccups to time constraints. For that, we've taken the feedback to heart and revamped the entire system. While we deeply sympathize with those who were eager to continue the first round, circumstances made it unfeasible. The second round has new rules. If the rules will not be followed by a single player will the game from that team be considered as a lose, no matter what outcome there will be. We have established a strict schedule. If you foresee a conflict with the stated times on either Saturday or Sunday within any given round, we urge you not to sign up for the tournament. Kindly register only if you are 99% certain you can adhere to the specified times. Please try to give us a accurate rating for yourself, because there will be a minimum and maximum allowed rating for each team depending on the average rating for all players, so we can have a balanced tournament. The ratings should be reviewed by all the players, to ensure that nobody is cheating and reducing or increasing his own value to play with a certain team they shouldn't be able to play normally. To register, please provide your (and potentially your friends') accurate TG rating and specify your availability—whether that's Saturday, Sunday, or both days. Write it down bellow in the comments. Be reminded that we only have 24 slots for this round. 6 teams. Do review the schedule and rules prior your commitment.

  7. One of the lessons is: if you want to actually develop a game with new features do it as part of the main development team. Everyone would like to see new/more team members. the reception for rogue development is chillier.

  8. All right, that's a piece of information I didn't have. I saw RC27 was released and thought the development process is ongoing (albeit very slow, as usually for that kind of project). A pity, this game is great. Needs just some polishing, there are just some rough edges remaining. You people are most likely used to them by now (and know how to bypass them), but they are obvious to a newcomer like me.

  11. That's true (was not forget this). That's why people should know about mods before playing the game. I've mentioned this several times, and some mods already have a default feature that shows which mods are being used. I also think that the discussion about if this mods is cheat can give some people the wrong impression that its made for cheating, which is definitely not true. I find that sad and it should be corrected. There is, another unexplained point. If people know it's used (just the name) but don't know what it does, they still don't know what it is. Well, I think this work and the result are impressive. Good and helpful, and progressive (but that's a slightly different discussion).

  12. yeah this is a pretty objective situation.

  13. You’re missing the entire point. Your opinion doesn’t matter if the people you’re playing with think that’s it’s cheating.

  14. I have given my opinion based on the evidence but adding the onager is only a slight divergence from historical accuracy. It is not that bad. So yes. Thats ok. I am not sure an imperial civ will happen in vanilla, due to stubborness, but we can accept this solution.

  15. Darn it I knew I must not be the only one trying to implement this feature here. I searched for 'queue' and 'auto queue' in this forum and found nothing relevant. To answer @seeh's question, yes it is the exact same functionally. The only difference beside the name is that autociv uses hotkey and my proposed mod uses button. I think I'm going to add hotkey to my mod.
