  2. Yes. It's what's described as a "mixin", and it is used to add attributes common to many Athenian templates in a bid to reduce duplication. The template it refers to can be located in simulation/templates/mixins.

  7. Thanks for your help! I will use mixins instead of creating new templates. One last question: for penteconters other than the Athenian, the parent should be just "penteconter|template_unit_ship_warship_light", right?

  8. The only difference being the <History> information isn't enough to create a new parent template for the root folder. I think others will agree on that. I suggest using a mixin instead! So, the penteconter.xml file in the mixins folder will house your History text and then you'd add it to the parent line in the units/athen/ship_bireme.xml file like this: <Entity parent="civ/athen|penteconter|template_unit_ship_warship_light">

  10. With the inclusion of Bindusara as the actual third hero, better change the catafalque name! If "Śarīra" is used, then the generic name shouldn't be "Catafalque" but something like "Buddhist relics", with unit description rewritten to reflect this as the "remains of a notable Buddhist disciple or saint".

  13. Nor any known citizenship system in both factions. In place of both slavery and hard labor (health-decrease), a laborer, working class, or the related is a viable alternative. Closest are Simöbe/Yatuko (both mean "servant") and Siduwo ("lower-class man"). The ones normally rendered "citizen" can use either Tunepitö (ordinary man), Pitö ("man"), or Otöna ("adult"). "Caste" is a misnomer, especially in Indian contexts; best to research the concept of varna in this case. Also debatable is slavery in ancient India, especially during the Buddhist/Maurya timeframe. For now, Dāsa (male)/Dāsi (female) in reference to servants/workers/bondsmen. Also, revert defense_tower back to Yagura because Takatönö actually refers to a "high or tall palace (building)" instead of actual stone tower; can't find any attestation about any latter per se.
