Thats because $ Artists offer a model and say "take it or leave it" whitout really investigating just because "it sells". They could do better because they have better rigs. Certanly i would take the task of sculpting the athenas statue but i bet it will be too much for my HD4000 crappy rig wich stutters almost on everything. Best artists are often F2P or Modders like Skyrim, Total War Saga or even Dawn of war. They put effort because they play it and they love it, just like we do with 0.A.D. i've started because i've liked all the ancient era stuff and want to improve (as far as my low end rig allow me) the assets i see, and here we are, with tons of helmets, shields, animations, models. Would someone else pay a guy for a 3D corinthian helmet wich probably would be totally innaccurate? Or better yet, use spartan models using braces because yes, because thats what the artist sold.

It's called polygon minimization. Lol. But maybe that is moot now. That model is some years old now (and Alpha 23 is now, lol).

I feel like "+25% attack speed," might be misunderstood by some to mean it's 25% slower. I would throw the word "faster" in there to eliminate that possible misunderstanding. So maybe something like "Hoplites +25% faster attack speed."

1.) Maybe some stationary hopping/jumping to shake of the whole body, like a warm up. 2.) Also, downward shaking or stretching of the sword arm would look nice. 3.) For sword infantry heroes, maybe pointing his sword downward while inspecting it. Also, resting the shield on the ground

I was wondering arent't there any more beautiful maps that could be used ? @wowgetoffyourcellphone is right this doesn't showcase the game's look in a good way. I wonder if we could launch a design contest for MP compatible maps. They could be designed from existing RMS like mainland, but with an artistic touch.

@Alexandermb Btw wash mouth clean boots, and smash bug would also be nice to have idles. Some variants for mining. Will be nice when we have visible garrisoning mining. Variants for building.
