  1. I willsay as I usually do that if there is a need for and benefit from adding a new forum I will gladly do it. But at the moment I don't think there is a need for one. Soon maybe, depending on how much progress is made, but not yet.

  2. Hahaha, euhm, but at least ROTE is almost there, no? Anyway, what I meant to say is, that these other projects have been in the pipeline for years, so it's normal they get the prerogative. We will just have to do our best to attract new artists willing to work on the project. Or become accomplished artists ourselves I'm sure after a few blender tutorials I'll be modeling entire civilizations with ease…. [read heavy sarcasm]… I saw some blender videos of lordgood on youtube yesterday, and I was quite impressed!

  3. Regardless of the font issue, we first need to get translations for the language, I think you are able to contribute to it (if you have time and motivation of course, but no technical skills are required). Just go there: https://www.transifex.com/wildfire-games/0ad/language/he/ As you can see the current progress for Hebrew is 32%. If it reaches 90%, we will include it in the official releases of the game, and as it was pointed out, it would be bundled separately because of fonts. But that's really not an issue, the real work is translating

  4. Hello Luke! Welcome to the forums! Indeed you noticed right, we're in need of someone that can help with the sound area of the game. Do you have any examples of your work? or would you like to make a test sound for us to hear your craft? I'd be really interested if you could try the game a bit and hear your thoughts about the current state of sound effects in the game. What would you add, what would you change, what would you think it needs more improvement etc...

  5. Hey, I'd love to be able to play some of my maps (and those created by others) with fellow players online. I've created a page on the wiki where you can download my maps. I hope others edit the page to add links to their dropboxes so that we can all play more maps. Let me know if you're interested. Here's the link to the page:http://0ad.wikia.com/wiki/Map_Sharing?venotify=created If you prefer, here is a direct link to my 0AD Map Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7uss4ew7uhp8ik7/AADDCrms-a7YReJ56s3NxRsTa?dl=0 I'll try to keep my maps up to date with edits and the like. File Paths (where you drop these files) for the map files (2 per map) by OS: Mac: User/Application Support/0ad/mods/user/maps/skirmishes Linux: Home/.local/share/0ad/mods/user/maps/skirmishes Windows: I'm not exactly sure... someone please inform me However, it should be the same once you get to 0AD If you have not made maps before, you may have to create the "maps" (inside "user") and "skirmishes" (inside "maps") folders, and then put the files in the "skirmishes" folder. You'll have to restart the game for it to update your map directory. Here are the files for a sample map of mine (of the Eastern Mediterranean): EM2v1.xml EM2v1.pmp

  7. Hello, I am Luke Farroh - I am a professional sound designer and sound editor for documentaries, commercials, and film. I love Age of Empires and would love to contribute by creating sounds for the game. I have noticed in several videos that there are some sounds missing while others could use some improvements. Thanks! - Luke Farroh

  12. Hello. Nice to meet you all. Never knew this game even exists. Saw it on youtube while looking for another RTS game to play. And it look real beautiful. So i said, why not. And here i am, downloading it. Good job for making this game and i hope you guys will do great and have fun while doing it. Also, a quick question. Will this game feature Hebrew language as well? Because i've seen that you guys have a few israeli guys on your team (know it by reading their names on the website page). Thank you all and have a nice day!

  13. This is a long-term project, so you can return whenever you find some time again If you can only conribute once in a while, Map and civilization descriptions or the little quotes in the game loading screen would be a good place to go, since terminology consisctency isn't so important there. Hebrew currently has 1 coordinator and 6 translators.

  14. As explained in the 403 page you need to create an account on Transifex first. The page FeXoR linked above (http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Localization) has a lot of information for you

  15. Hi @Squizen and welcome to the forum Thanks for letting us know you tried and like 0 A.D. It's definitely possible to add other languages. As far as I know we don't have a hebrew character set but it could be added. This has been done e.g. for east asian fonts. Due to their size they are not included in the default release versions of 0 A.D. but have to be downloaded seperately (see the links above, We, Wildfire Games, provide the downloads). Have a pleasent stay

  18. I tried this technique, but not quite satisfied with it: the color was to plain for my taste. So I oriented my efforts to multiple textures:

  19. Thanks for all the feedback, guys! Gonna note them down. For now, I think I need to improve on two things: Equipment - My current hardware's processing capacity greatly sacrifices video quality for the sake of a cleaner audio. So the best I can come up with is to save up for a budget mic (specifically the snowball)... I'm not sure how long that would take me, though. Communication Skills - It's my first time actually talking to my computer where somebody else would hear it. So my confidence and ability to enunciate words properly in English (which obviously isn't my native language) isn't great. However, since this is the skill that I know I can obtain through experience and your help, I am going to put much of my effort in improving on this one first. If you want to leave advice/comments here, that's fine. But I'd prefer that you give those comments on my video just so we can keep this thread relatively clean. So here's my next video:

  21. Map: Mainland (normal) Players: (borg-, samba) vs (Vercingetorix_, drunkadius) Summary: A basic strategy in 2v2 games in some rts games, one player rush the strongest adversary, avoiding that it grows and the other attacks a little later with a more powerful and numerical attack. 2016-12-31_0003.rar
