in the blender file the rein has inverse cinematics thats why its flying it already have the animations for run, trot gather and others. Capturing, gathering, promoting or attacking remains there. Only run left for the javelin animation and done.

Actually, i looked today the run animation and i remember the javelin guy has a shield in the arm and the run animation of the archer is something like this so the shield hand will start clipping with the face/body should it use the same of the archer and change the rein from the left hand to the right while running?

Also the traders camels needs to have something to show their faction colour but idk what should be added, any ideas?

Maybe some silk fabric.

 

And the form will be "packed" in the  back of camel as a part of goodies. the texture must be other obviously.

What about a guy walking on its side or on a horse/camel beside it ?

The best would be if he was holding it using a rein but that sounds complicated to sync

Yeah, something in the like of that. Notice the cloth could also have been playercolor.

I'll try to come up with something for the hats this weekend :)

I feel like this would be good, as camels don't wander around the desert on trade routes unattended.  And the merchant would give us a chance to incorporate player colour.
