Wow guys, we're not using that button are we? :/

Why don't you like it pureon? :(

It really doesn't fit the rest of Pureon's direction. I am more than willing to let him (Pureon) make whatever graphics he wants in order to create a unified vision of the UI.

I think it looks nice, but agree about needing consistency.

Thanks, and I agree about the consistancy, the white really draws too much attention to itself.

Its cool the marble but, guys see other screen, don't match with. Pureons Concept.

They use marble too but is different to our concept.

I'm sorry, but if I'm being honest, no it doesn't work. We did have white marble in some of the first concepts in this topic, but then RTW2 screenshots were released showing a marble UI, so I ditched that. (See the two buttons in the lower corners of Lion's screenshot above)

If I can add something would be nice to have some kind of hover on the menus arrows.

Currently the dropdowns are entirely made up of placeholder sprites. They'll look much better once pureon creates a style for them.

Will this be a fullscreen menu or a pop-up menu? I think it would be useful to have the chatbox visible when choosing faction.

Excellent this, when player are open the game the first time?

This remember me like AoE 3 and like FiFa if it's this way.

The game at start the first time help to players choose a faction or a team to play as default player's team or faction.

And then permits adjust Ai settings.

Why do we need a window/full screen menu to select the civ when one dropdown menu can do it?

For me this would be a change for the worse...

(I have nothing against adding "random groups")

To have such things for the single player campaign would be OK but in MP I'd always like to see what other players pick.

I like the fact that you can quickly see unique units etc and a more detailed random selector.

This should go to the manual IMO (which should be accessible in the main menu, the gamesetup and in-game similar to the civ tech tree in AoE II).

Calling up the entire manual just to see this might not be the most effective way to do things :unsure: Not sure how well it could be integrated/made to work with going back and forth between the manual and the match setup screen, though on the other hand that might (at least to some extent) probably be said of a factions choosing screen/dialog as well.

I'd always like to see what other players pick.

That should be possible even if using this kind of screen, though you may of course have to go back and forth depending on the layout of this screen/how it works with the match setup screen.
