Black Op
I made a poll fot TLA about the same subject so I decided to make one for 0AD as well. What's you opinion on how fast 0AD is progressing? Do you think it's moving fast enough or is work being too slow, boring you in the process (hopefully not)? Aeros
well obviously, everyone wants it now now now But that's not the case for us, it's alot of work and it's not easy. Furthermore this isn't a full time job so we can't put as much time into it as other gamedevelopers who are doing this full-time.I voted don't rush it
CodeOptimist
I also voted don't rush it... that's the mistake commercial game studios make!
akya
I voted it could be faster, but I don't mind much I'm the kind of person that wants results right now so don't pay attention to my opinion
Ornlu
I want it now too, but don't rush it.

Jeru
I want to play 0AD, but just as importantly, I don't want it to be a half-baked game with loads of things missing, and I want everyone to have a good time making it.
Vaevictis_Music
You realize you're doing this vote for a game which still has two years in development, right? Think of what else might happen in your life in two years, and the 'slow' progress on the game may suddenly not seem such a big deal
ZeZar
2 years? Isnt 1 year more like it? You guys are heading for Beta christmas 2004 right? ANd cant take THAT long after a beta can it ?
fede_histpop
Yeah, I'd confirm the 2 years.Better to say later than to say sooner without being able to complete it sooner...

TheCobra1
All of you will work 24 hours a day until I see 0ad.
AttilaTheHun
Two years, hmm, I can't say that I have anything to do until it comes out. So I might as well go to sleep.Someone wake me up when the beta comes out. P.S. If the longer I waited, the better the game would become. I'd wait 3 years if necessary.Although the anticipation is killing me.
Lorian
Take as long as you need, our computer can't ahndle it but we're getting a new one in a couple of years so I can play it
DarkAngelBGE
Hehe, Lorian. Well looks that many people want to see some stuff now, actually.
ElfTheHunter
I actually, even seeing the hard work that everyone is putting in to it (a bonus of working on TLA) still voted could be faster but it's good enough (or something like that) because I didn't expect to find the don't rush it at the bottom. And it's not because ppl aren't working at it fast enough, it's just that I'm comparing it to Dawn of Fantasy... but really, that's not smart to compare... just think it could be faster (as in I would not complain if it was faster) but everyone is doing a great job, and I would not ask for them to work more... so basically, this is a good rate of work... and I think if it seems slow, it's to those that can't see the inner workings. tribal
There is no such thing as "fast game development". Even the fully financed companies can take years to complete a game. (See Half-Life 2). So just imagine how much harder it is for guys working full time in their regular lives to work even more hours every week on games like 0AD. 0AD is doing great and progressing as would be expected by anyone involved in game development, maybe even better. Keep up the good work. Micah HymerReverie Entertainment, LLCwww.reverieentertainment.net
Dest
I want it now.But is better to wait more and the game to be better than to play it tomorrow and be a real crap.I think that is developing fast enough for me.Come on guys, make us proud!
