sphyrth
Aren't the Cavalry gathering upgrades functional in the Corral?
sphyrth
Quick question: Does the uphill advantage apply to this game?
Loki1950
In which context cavalry would have an advantage downhill even archers and infantry have a disadvantage going uphill but It does not matter ATM as terrain bonuses have not been implemented yet. Enjoy the Choice
causative
Except - ranged units and buildings at higher elevations get a range bonus. The corral lets you upgrade cavalry walk speed and sheep production time, but not the gather rate. sphyrth
This guide may be obsolete on some parts, but it's still so useful that I believe that this deserves to be pinned.
Stan`
Update it and I'll pin it 1
Stan`
Or rather let's create a wiki page out of it so that every one can edit it
Lion.Kanzen
Borg writes a some useful guide for begginers.
Stan`
Ideally we'd have the wiki page with a training scenario tutorial like the economic one... Maybe @nani and @borg- could fusion and do that if they are up to it. Call it "The newb crusher" 1
Feldfeld
I could make a build order for a specific map (would be better if the player changes his default batch size to 1 beforehand)

I can at the very least assume it to be 5, either way they need to learn to batch just like the previous economic scenario
Stan`
Could work as an example in a sub wiki page
nani
There are some 0ad youtubers that do weekly tips / strats videos too. IMHO, videos are better for 0ad mechanics / knowhow rather than a text based wikis. @ValihrAnt https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWgSzCK6CoFgSdbPiKGmJ4A Agora 0ad: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPEieyPXxuMxQVI5cfIcnfg Tom 0ad:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCS-SFei6NFRuGN8CKtAsYrA Edited August 22, 2019 by nani
Feldfeld
To be fair when i started 0A.D. i learned quite a bit from the economy scenario which was harder than it should have been due to it being outdated. Also a scenario embedded in the game has more visibility, I think that the 2 ways can complement each other.

That's true, but this post was written in a time when those tutorials were outdated and/or too technical for new players. I bumped this because I had to review on the things I'm doing wrong since I haven't played in a long time. That's why I think it deserves to be pinned. And yes, I witnessed both the start and the growth of Valihrant and Tom0ad. Both of them are fairly new.
