I still don't like that they're called Stone Throwers in some places and go by a different name in others (for example the arsenal, where you build them).

In this case, stone throwers refers to both catapults and onagers. Although there may be other cases where the terminology could be better.

I'm thinking we should just standardize it to "catapult." Onagers are catapults, in the broad sense. "Stone throwers" might be needlessly pedantic and "catapult" is a term most people understand. "Bolt shooters" though seems to be a good term for scorpions and oxybeles.

Ah I see, it's a generic term/text. (Like every arsenal - no matter the civ - tells you that you can train champion infantry crossbowmen there...)

This is indeed the modern perception of a catapult (A siege engine that launches stones).

But in antiquity the term catapult was also used to describe bolt shooting engines.

Personally i think stone thrower is a better term since it is more accurate; but still easy to understand.

Clearly the neon glow is a design choice (Kurus isn't the only one with it), but I'm not too happy with it; when I saw the small version in the structure tree I thought the file was damaged. Also what's up with his headgear? Does it only have a small lobe on the right side? I feel his face should be covered in shade and there's too much free space next to his neck.

I know the visibility of minerals has been improved over time, but maybe we can help it even further. This is on Ngorongoro, and I had a hard time locating those things. (Especially since I'm not very good at aligning the colored dots on the minimap with the features in my line of sight.) You all see the second metal and stone? This is the normal view, not the darkened pause view.

Are these the latest materials? Do the effects work on this map?

We're still using this tall grass? (Ambush)

I think this volcano (Dodecanese) looks really off. Besides the various straight lines, the hot top seems unnatural; I've just read the wikipedia article about eruptions and looked at numerous pics and it only confirmed my impression.

how come you have a save and no replay?

Because I manually saved and there was no replay generated automatically. :)

I mentioned it ITT before (to no reaction) that when I pause (&save) and leave the game at 00:00 play time there is no replay; when I load that game and play to the end the generated replay is rubbish (as is standard with fragmented replays). Allegedly it's possible to merge partial replays, but when that 00:00:00 moment is lost...

When you get around to it, please let me know if you could retrieve the seed from the save as it will impact future reports.

Traders are just stupid this version.

I didn't hear anything back about traders losing their route when they were garrisoned; I really hope that gets figured out.

Edit: My initial complaint in this post seemed to be invalid... :whistling:

Insolence! Insubordination!

My guys just skipped their first order and went straight to the second objective. (They come out of the barracks at 7:24, should anyone want to look at the attached replay.)

I thought maybe it was a singular occurrence, but yesterday some other guys decided to skip building a barracks and went straight to chopping wood, again ignoring their first objective. Don't think I had that behavior before, now I had it two consecutive days...
