  1. This has to be the best mod for AoK yet I wonder if Aro knows about it? He'll probably post something about it on the main page at AOKH if he knows
  2. lol DA, you rogue I can play your game. See, look how frightening I look here ROAR! well, thats really about as angry as I could make myself look By the way, you and Brian have the exact same moustache Oh yeah, and you're lucky you blurred your pic or I would've Photoshoped you into a complete gansta just like I did to some HG Guys (Soc, Chooch, and Zen)
  3. Falchion an "exotic weapon", it combines the power of an axe in the blade of a sword. You don't stab or do any slicing with it, but rather you slam people with a blade that looks like this:
  4. Just wondering what people's tastes are for things in an editor. Personally I think eyecandy is the most important part of an editor, as it expresses the author of the scenario the best and reflects his style. The more diversity you have in eyecandy the more style one can express in his scenario.
  5. yeah I saw it too yesturday when I saw Paycheck. It looks good. But enough about the movie, lets talk about Keira Knightly She's in like what, 3 upcoming movies now? She's really doing alot and she's only 18.
  6. Yeah, the reason why Game Developers really don't say anything about their game is because at any moment it could all change, since a developing game is constantly changing until it's a good game. It's not so much so about secrecy and wanting to keep our precious details hiddin so no one else rips our idea We can't say anything because it's not finalized yet, and really most of our material so far is just alot of ideas that we still need to test in the actual game, which won't be for a while.
  7. From a scenario designer opinion, a 3d Environment is about the best you can wish for. If our game was in 2d and it's editor was just a remake of AoK's do you think many people from the communities outside AoK would be interested in designing for our game? Not to mention the extra detail and effects we can put into a 3d engine, like Acument said.
  8. Heh, considering we're working on it, it'll be the best game ever - 10
  9. People are going on Vacation. Oh and brian's not here
  10. Dec 31 is a long wait it took me 30 minutes to make mine, these shouldn't take so long. how about changing the deadline to December 24rth/25th? Or before that so you can anounce the winner on christmas.
  11. Yep, it's the best movie ever, I just got back from watching it about an hour ago (too). Already wrote what I thought about it here: http://forums.wildfiregames.com/tla/index....view=getnewpost
  12. Hmm, at first multiplayer designing didn't seem practical to me, but then I thought about it some more and I guess it could be a cool feature, people could meet in the editor, discuss something, teach someone something, or work on a map jointly. However the problem is that I think a majority of people won't use this and only a handful of the designing community would. Also our programmers will have to script a whole extra chunk into the Prometheus engine to support this. Also transfering actions online will require a pretty buff connection since the .scn files are uncompressed when you open up a scenario into something thats like 10 MB - it's like this for all games. But then again I'm not a programmer, I'll talk to the programmer guys and see what they think of this Great ideas guys
  13. lol, polish cannons are great. I fire potatos with them, it's messier
  14. I'm actually clueless on that, or I would've told you by now, hehe
  15. It's Illegal In California because it's one big desert here. If one fire cracker goes astray the whole state will be on fire, just like a few months ago with the Wild Fires. I used to live in Florida though, and you could buy tons of firecrackers there, even the big ones But I was only 5 at the time, I don't remember much, hehe
  16. 9 - I really don't like the current colors theme, maybe it should have darker colors like the current site? No need to make things have a different color just to differentiate, it gets messy. Right now I like the site we have right now more than this one, even though the new one has better art on it.
  17. Shogun I think that would contradict the point of this thread Loosen up guys Merry Christmas and Happy New Years in Bulgarian - I da ste zjivi i zdravi this doesn't translate well into english but people usually say it after most greetings in Bulgarian, it means something like "and be well and healthy" Hehe, nice Cat, thanks for the greetings, I think us WFG guys should drop by DGDN for some greetings as well
  18. Hey everyone As you know (hopefully), the 0AD editor will havesome spankin' good features for scenario designers to put to use, however we won't know exactly what you want unless you tell us, which leads me to the purpose of this thread. The Map Editor Wishlist, gather round and post what you think would be really cool to have in our Map editor. Keep in mind that we are making a realtime strategy game, 0AD, and not "Map Editor Deluxe", so it won't be practical to put in 100 different types of trees. It would be cool, we agree with you, but it's not practical to the development of our game. So let us know what you want to be in our editor! We can't promise you it will include everything you ask for but we sure will try .
  19. I've got a coin collection with some solid gold coins and some that date back to the 1800s. Oh and I've got some gold coins from around 900AD. They aren't part of my collection though, but rather from the family which have been passed down for a long time. Besides that my hobbies would be anything and everything involved with art and creativity, and everything I do with (and without) computers expresses that. Thats how I got into scenario design, it's an expression of creativity.
  20. No mention of santa raping people? It's not really my kind of movie but who knows, I might get it on DVD when it's out, and also if I'm really bored.
  21. ah! how could we forget All your base. http://www.scene.org/redhound/AYB.swf and then... http://www.geocities.com/realultimatepowercats/
  22. I thought it'd be cool if we could compile a list of some of our favorite websites with humour and things like that on them. T3h List0rAlbinoblacksheep Home to some of the best flash animations (such as Colin Mocrie vs Jesus H. Christ) on the net. One of my personal favorites. Ebaums World The one. The only. Even though most of it's material is from other places on the web, it's still got some good stuff. Like it's movies. Prank calls too. Oh yeah and the images as well. OHNOES!! Something Awful A very funny place, with alot of, erm... "adult humour" . It's photoshop friday sections are have some of the funniest photoshop work ever, this site is great. If you've got alot of free time, I suggest going to the RomPit The best page in the universe - and the title doesn't lie. Read about societies, pressing issues. And also the rambles and rants of Maddox.
