Everyone likes TechTV If you liked it 2 years ago though, then you're a geek They weren't "hip" or modern then, but atleast they gamed it up with X-play (used to be extended play which used to be gamespy TV, but ofcourse everything now has to be ExtrEmified)

I didn't like the feal of empires either, and that the graphic still look abit like a cartoon, but then again I couldn't tell much because my computer was running empires at about 10-15 frames per second.

Just a reminder, Bigfoot was a fake, infact the guy who invented him/was him died sometime last year, his family gave his secret out. UFOs I'm sure, are fake as well. Really, whats so interesting about Humans that aliens want to fly out to us simply to hover in our sky and cause suspicion about new russian fighter technology.

I've been modding The Titans abit - added 53 new objects to the scenario editor All of them coming from existing units/buildings. Pic If we have special eye candy on buildings and things, then I think we should make them normal eye candy in the scenario editor as well.

I can't find "flying bits of derranged goats" on that list. It's what they look like to me atleast...

If we're going to have things like that avenger, we have to make them obvious so that a newbie isn't at a disadvantage for not knowing that a spear formation does 1.5X damage to cavalry.

It'd be nice to have a building that's only purpose is to provide LOS, sorta like the Lighthouse in AOM.
-
I think we should have an auto scout button, like in EE, where a unit would go out and explore all unexpored regions

KILL KILL KILL!!111 Oh please, if you read a violent book will you go out and murder your parents? If you see a violent show on TV will you go stick up a bank? If you are over 12 years old, violent games will not effect your judgement, if it does, then you don't have the maturity of a 12 year old...

2 terrabytes. Right now they've got this thing that they do where they have 2 250GB hardrives and combine them so that it's like you have one (and so C drive will say 500GB on it) -
I've always been an artist, 3d art and digital art is just an extension of what I love doing and hope to continue doing.

Computers And Girls -> Long Story
Aeros replied to DarkAngelBGE's topic in Introductions & Off-Topic Discussion
Yes, especially one in the RTS community Most girls that play PC games are usually RPG girls. hah... I assure there is an overwhelming amount of girls that spend more time than guys on the computer. What do they do? Chat 24/7 ofcourse. -
*coughs slightly to get attention so that more people vote*

Well, I think it would take time for the units to switch their formation, 5 seconds or so and they would physically move themselves in position. That way people will be at a disadvantage if they decide to switch their formation in the middle of a battle, it'll prevent people from using formations the wrong way.

I was on a modem for 3 years until I got DSL this summer it's so sad, because I now get impatient waiting 6 minutes downloading a 60MB file. My DSL is fast too, 170KB/s By the way, Verizon DSL is $30 a month, it's what I use, you might want to get it DSL is the best.

The most extreme one is when Johnny and "crew" went into a restaurant and ordered a vegetarian dish. Then when the waiter left they put a... a poo.... in the dish Johnny caled over the guy and said "Excuse me, but I ordered a vegetarian dish, aparently there is a sausage in it" Classic The other things they do on Jackass, are rather... stupid Though amusing none the less. I like the pranks more. Right now on MTV they've split up Jackass into 2 different shows, they premiere in a few days, both of them just as extreme as Jackass

It's things like these that make you wonder just how bad the world can get. Aparently, it's even worse than you thought. -
Return Of The King Trailer
Aeros replied to DarkAngelBGE's topic in Introductions & Off-Topic Discussion
The Extended DVDs are awesome theres like 17 hours worth of commentary, you'd actually find out some pretty interesting stuff if you listen to the commentaries. @ Klaas New Line probably wants some more of that "Supa ExtreMe Roxx0r" marketting to young teenagers, thats probably the only reason Legolas did his shield-sliding-down-the-stairs-into-an-orc thing in TTT -
Wow, this idea could totally make 0 AD an even more awesome game Thats amazing, it'll actually make formations important, which is historically acurate too. Excelent idea, have some points

What Is The Most Efficient Way To Work ?
Aeros replied to DarkAngelBGE's topic in Introductions & Off-Topic Discussion
Ever been to Bulgaria? It's a very rural place, and very pretty too with the Balkan Mountains running through half the country. Bulgaria has got quite a nice culture, it's very family-oriented, virtually everyone in the neighborhood knows each other, and the main points of society are having a good time (which uh, translates into getting very drunk) and humor. Technology is edging on there a bit, but people don't spend more than 1 hour on a computer, let alone if they have one. It's a blessing and a curse at the same time. meh. Let’s see, how do I manage my time: Well, I get up, shower, breakfast, go to school, come back at 4:00 (School ends 2:45 actually, I spend the time between school ending and going home with friends), 4:00-5:00 (sometimes 6:00) I relax a bit then start on homework. 6:00-8:00, I'm on the computer simultaneously doing homework (typing papers up), my HG duties, go through forums, maybe start on something. 8:00-9:00 I find something to work on, check news.... things like that. 9:00-10:00 Relax, play a game or something, chat with someone, then turn off the computer. 10:00-11:00 Finish up homework (I am most productive and think clearest at night, that’s just who I am) 11:00-11:30 read a book to relax again 11:30-6:30 Sleep, good old sleep, and something that I can't quite get enough of , repeat cycle Lately, I haven't been gaming much. In fact I think in 2 weeks I've only played 1 hours worth of video games. Bleh, my youth is spent So here is my advice, Tim. I hate to say it, but don't go on the computer after you wake up when you get up, 6:00-7:00AM (9:00-10:00PM my time) is the only time we get to talk to each other live, besides on weekends. However you'll have to give that up, don't go on the computer in the morning because then at school you'll be distracted because you're thinking about the stuff you couldn't get to in the morning, or be wondering what people are saying in one of your threads, or something. When you get back, start on your homework first, if you'd like, put on some very loud music to distract you from the things you want to do (that’s what I do) If you've got a lot of homework, leave it for later on (if you're a night person like me, which I'm sure you are ) Then do your computer stuff. If you have a lot of things to do (like me) then do them at the same time, multitasking is a very nice skill to have. Just for an example, as I'm typing this I'm also making a news post at AOMH, downloading things, telling Kumar Shah some HTML, and also browsing other forums. Thank god (or rather the MS programmers) for the Alt+tab hotkey Music is a wonderful thing. I always have it on if I can, it really helps you work and keeps your mind on what you're doing. Another thing: Make sure you're always relaxing. When I do my homework as soon as I get home I'm relaxing from school, when I do my computer stuff I'm relaxing from homework, when I'm gaming or doing something like that I'm relaxing from my computer work. When I'm finishing up my homework at night I'm relaxing in general, when I'm reading a book I'm relaxing from the homework I just did... If you're not relaxed, you'll become very stressed and irritable So always relax. About schedules: Try to make some, for example Tuesday is my AOM scenario downloading day, I look for a scenario to spotlight for Wednesday's Download Spotlight. Thursday I collect material for the Scenario Design Library, Friday I finish up any changes to The Library and also look for interesting community happenings, then I post my Community Weekly Summary which summarizes all of that. Now that's just my schedule for AOMH And one last thing: Try to do your most serious work (studying, scripting etc) on the weekends, that way you won't be overwhelmed during the week. Yet another last thing: Avoid making long posts like these that take up 30 minutes of your time. -
Highlands, especially the one in AOK with the bodies of water and rivers 2nd to that is probably Arabia (or Savannah in AOM)

Very good forums, theres one thing I want though. Make a gaming forum I need somewhere to vent off my excitement for Half Life 2
