  1. I know that feeling xD, but even then! That would take me weeks without sleep* xD (and some years of learning). Amazing! *by the end I would just mess it up because of a lack of sleep
  2. Look at Wesnoth, a great deal of the tactics in that game lies within knowing when to push and when to fall back (because of the night/day cycle), a bit too much even xD but hey, it's still one of my favorite games
  3. And '0 A.D. Magadha' sounds better ;-)
  4. Er, yeah? As high as Hannibal maybe, or a siege tower.
  5. Yes it had like 11 sets of walls over the duration of its existance, but I mean that (if I remember correctly) Troy had, according to the stories, super strong walls and was 'incapturable' and these walls would be mythical.
  6. The lower the hp of the building the faster it loses loyalty. Wonders should be incapturable, as well as some special buildings. When you capture an enemy barracks, can you make their units or your own in that barracks?
  7. Troy really existed, but the walls of troy would be mythical, right? Anyway, I think 'eyecandy' should be everything (civ specific or not) that cannot be build in a normal game. So I added the aquaduct. I added Walls of Troy as well, even though I can imagine the trojans becoming an actual mini-civ some day. I also added Lion.Kanzen's proposal: the Dorkim Garamantim. I've also added pirate ships. @LordGood, the ziggurat(s) would not be buildable in game, right? Will you be working on them? (btw. they look really nice)
  8. Good question. I don't know, but I think the romans must have had weapon racks, I can't imagine every soldier buying masses of pila before going to battle. I searched on google, but no results yet. If anyone wants to do some further research...
  9. What did sign posts look like around AD? This is where to post your findings! Roman milestone.
  10. Sorry for the double post, but I continued working on some racks: These are supposed to represent: Temperate (Celtic) x2, Tropic (Mauryan) x2 and Mediterranean (Roman/Greek) x2 And two sword racks in the middle
  11. I would suggest a 'pause voting', pausing a multiplayer only works when two or more players agree on pausing the game. You could, for example, say: 'I need to go to the toilet, could we pause please,' and then press the pause button. If one of the other players agrees within a certain time limit, the game pauses and you can go to the toilet. Or, if you want to pause to give commands, you should probably say that in advance when starting the game and make sure all other players don't mind.
  12. This is a topic dedicated to all the racks that will be available in Atlas. Weapon racks: -Spears, Javelins and Pillums (can use the same rack models, different props) + 1 bamboo rack for the mauryan spears -Swords -Axes -Armour -Shields -Bows -Fishing tools (oars, rod, etc.) -Mining tools Different models & textures to fit with different civs. Here's a quick model I made (a simple celtic spear rack): EDIT: Current set:
  13. I think they should have something which represents their well developed irrigation systems. Like a farming bonus when close to water.
  14. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_elephant http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_elephant The african elephant is larger. African ears go up more than asian. The skin of african elephants is more wrinkled. All african elephants posses tusks, but not all asian ones do ... there's plenty of differences!
  15. Here they are: cages.7z @Lion.Kanzen: Interesting model, from what game is it?
  16. Thank you Lion, I've updated my post, but I've got some questions: Plaza floor: should be in textures I believe Pirate ships: pirate factions are seperate factions, not eyecandy ... well ... they are eyecandy too Please explain the following: Gate lever prop: do you mean like for when triggers are in the game so you can open gates by walking somewhere? Onager: these are siege weapons, but I wonder when they were invented, could you tell me? Eastern Merchant & Eastern Merchant tent: don't these belong in a editor-only civ? P.S. impaled head = head on a stick, was already on the list ;-)
  17. You are talking about the 'destruct' actors, yes?
  18. alt+LMB can select actors (such as ruins) alt+RMB can rotate actors
  19. I recently read the eyecandy topic again and decided it might be a good idea to make a big list of all the eyecandy that is in the game, will be in the game and should be in the game. Color code: Not in the game Not animated/unfinished (but no one is working on it anymore) Someone is working on it Finished and in the game! If you are working on an eyecandy model at the moment, post in this topic and I'll add it to the list/change the color (and add your name). Also give me a link to the topic. Don't spam this topic with suggestions, take a look to see if it hasn't been suggested before. I'll update this list regularly.
