  1. I'll give it try on my computers and tell you the results.
  2. A while ago I was playing against the computer, Carthaginians vs Romans, I think, and I made this screenshot and then forgot all about it. I was really proud of my 100+ cavalry units, and I just came across the picture and thought: Hey! This looks like the Rohirim... The game didn't have much tactics, I made a slaughter pit*, gathered a lot of resources and build a few massive armies of cavalry units (and siege rams for the buildings) If anyone else has any screenshots that look like scenes from LotR, post them here! *Slaughter pit: Walled square with towers and two gates. One gate is opened and a fast unit is used to lure the AI's army into the pit, the gates are then closed and stay closed until all enemies have been slaughtered. Do some repairs and repeat.
  3. Would be great, not sure how you plan on doing this, but here is my work in progress: link
  4. I have animated some models, but I'm not very good at it.
  5. The pyramid looks really plain and boring, but since they were plastered, they probably were really boring and plain ... If anyone got any hints how I can make the pyramid less boring, fire away!
  6. Look what I found in my wardrobe! @Lion: I'll add your suggestions to the first post
  7. If you want to zoom out more to have better control of your armies open the developer overlay, uncheck camera restrictions and you're ready to go.
  8. Maybe this also happens with the other walls with the latest svn? Haven't checked yet.
  9. Egyptian representations of Nubians: Nubian Pyramid: Representations of nubians:
  10. A textured and slightly revamped version of the Nubian Pyramid
  11. Quick model of a nubian pyramid:
  12. Here's the pic. (these statues are generally found at crossroads, temples and borders)
  13. You can put my models on there as well :-) I'm uploading all my models/maps to MEGA now. There's not much on there yet at the moment though... 0 A.D. @MEGA
  14. Download the work in progress here: link If you want to contribute, feel free to do so!
  15. I don't have any originals that still work... (are RTS CDs bad quality? or do I play them too much? or do I treat them so badly ...) For AoE:RoR I'm using the copy of a copy of my friends game ... (funny fact: my friend realized he was addicted to AoE and threw the CD behind a heavy desk so he could no longer play the game ... he asked me to come over to move the desk not so long after xD he later destroyed the CD ... and then bought a new one) For AoK I'm using a copy of my original CD For AoM:TGE I'm using a crack because my original cd got an error in it before I made a copy of it. I never bought AoE III because I've got 0 A.D. ... So why would I want it? (I played with my friends game for a while, but it just isn't as good as AoK) (btw: the natives expansion CD of my friend doesn't install anymore) I never installed AoEO because it looks like crap My conclusion: CDs are crap, and 0 A.D. won't have any problem with them xD I see the thing about Steam, no CD trouble anymore, but I don't like it.
  16. I want a penguin warrior (Tux) hidden in the cinematic xD (but without is fine too) Or maybe there could be this little part at the end where you have a Tux (for Linux), a butterfly (for Windows) and whatever Mac has together to show people that it is multiplatform ... wait ... that seems a bit pointless when the game is already installed ... maybe for the trailer!!! (*dream* *dream* *dream*)
  17. I can see a scene before my eyes with a priest talking to a crowd in front of a high poly temple ;-) could be nice as well Maybe we should have a depository for high-poly models that can be used for the startup cinematic (and later campaign cinematics as well, they really get people into the mood of the campaign)
  18. Yeah, I forgot about that one xD
  19. Wow, nice project! I intend to study Machine Learning in a few years, so this is certainly something I'm going to follow with great interest ;-)
