Yes, or if it was at least a possibility to order the repair (for example by pressing CTRL).

Thats already implemented, press J by default

If my idea gets implemented another hotkey for storing could be implemented, even though the following case would be rather rare: You want your soldiers to store the resources, but then they waste time with repairing

  2. - worker eles cant be garrisoned in CCs if standing at the corner
    - units in formations often fail to gather resources, to be garrisoned, and to be shown as idle

    - athenian docks cant train soldiers without the iphicrates tech even this does not match the description of that tech

    - some people cant host games in the lobby, and others cant join matches of certain hosts

    - multiplayer matches often crash for no apparent reason

    - groups can fail to build buildings if some members are standing on the constructionsite

    - workers dont take the closest resource to the dropsite, but the closest resource to their last resource

The silver shield upgrade's description does not  say by how much they are improved. If it is like you say then its indeed powerfull, but the combined train time of both champion unlock technology and the silver shields is 2 min flat, and that is concerning.

Furthermore is 50% worth it? Only if you make enough of them i say, now how much is enough of them? Considering it  requires the 600 food 600 metal plust the cost of philip and 2 min from p3.

Silver shield increases power by 21%. I think it can be researched while unlock champions is not researched yet.

Not sure if the strategy is worth it, never seen it in a multiplayer game...

One kinda needs to use the thracians as the  citizen cavalry isn't fast enough to kill rams and having champion cavalry on ram duty is a waste. So if anything its the champion spearmen, the hypaspistes that don´t see much action.

That is kinda weird, because they can get almost 50% stronger than other champ spearmen if you combine silver shield tech with Philip. Maybe the players would use them more often if they would be aware of that.

What I am trying to say is the dog's stats are already problematic; it is somewhere between an elite rank spearman and a champion spearman, with the speed of a horse. It has gone out of the role of a dog a little bit. Meanwhile, its vision is very low, so it is a pure rush unit and not so great for scouting.

No no no. Even a level 2 spearmen is stronger than a dog, and maybe also a level 1 swordsman. Later in the game soldiers can get upgrades while dogs dont have any upgrade at all, not even from Caratacus. And cavalry is faster than dogs.

If we compare the dog to a spear cavalry we get that the war dog has +60% DPS and the spear cavalry has +75% durability(to pierce).

The war dog is cheaper, requires no pop space and does not have weakness to pole arms.

The spear cavalry has a bonus vs. opposing cavalry and can capture buildings and moves a little faster.

I think that the war dog has the obvious advantage, both from gameplay experience and from the stats considered here.

On top of that Britons start with a dog. The war dog can lure deer towards the CC/farmstead of the player allowing cavalry to collect food at a high rate, which enables rushes even more. I think dogs are dangerous, but archers civilizations can be as dangerous.

You could adopt this as your new middle name, after all your banning attempts.

The war dog cant level up, the spear cav can

  7. Don't think that dogs are OP. They have poor vision and don't receive any upgrades (in A24 not even will to fight which they received in A23), and they have no crush armor, so elephants oneshot them and even macemen are a thread.

At the beginning of A24 some players experimented with dog rushes but instead of trending it seems like dog rushes are a dying strategy. Why is that, if dogs are OP?

The 20 extra units of persians and mauryans (even more when pop limit >200 or wonder) are more OP than dogs I guess.

There is a more fundamental problem with the rankings.

The ladder is based on 1v1 rated games. A lot of players (also those in the top 100) don't play a lot of rated 1v1 games. This is the reason why the podium almost didn't change. You don't often see players rated in the top 100 host rated games to defend/risk their rank.

All these suggestions lower the rating of some very but inactive talented players. Which means that two players might have similar ratings but entirely different skill levels, after-all rating should be representative of skill level.

If you want to clean the leader-board while keeping ratings intact, I would suggest multiplying the ratings with -1. Once a player completes a rated game, the new ratings get computed according to the absolute value of their rating. If there is a player with rating -1800, you know that this is a good but inactive player which would be more faithful than giving a 1500 rating.

A minus would be very misleading, as ratings could be actually negative. A question mark is a better symbol

  9. Resetting ratings is too drastically.

A symbol which shows inactivity is a better way.

There is another value which is the uncertainty of the ratings. Inactivity could increase this value day by day a bit, and in general if the uncertainty is higher than a certain value, ratings could be marked with a "?" to show that the rating is uncertain.

Don't reinvent the wheel, just learn from the rating system of Lichess.org, a free chess site
