Then you probably need to try third party software. As for testing your shader: I tried to replace the files that you provided in the other thread, but the binaries are zip compressed and windows wont let me replace it without unpacking first. Which means i have to decompress and recompress the complete binaries (several GB), which is something i'd rather not do. -

for Ubuntu 18.04 and higher with the default Gnome desktop you can press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R to capture a 30 sec video to youre video folder. https://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2020/01/record-ubuntu-desktop-built-in-screen-recorder/ Otherwise you need to use an extra screen capture software. The problem is that most people in this forum dont use svn (me included) and the people that do are busy working on it and have not so much time for testing. So i can only say: I followed the progress of your shader development and i quite like it judging from the screenshots . And as you can see from this thread : People like to look at pictures. I would even suggest putting in a little screen capture video, if the effects of the shader are best seen in movement. -
If it is really only about balance tweaks, wouldn't it be possible to do this via mods ? Like an weekly (or monthly) official multiplayer mod that takes care of those concerns and is used to test the balance. This mod could either be supervised by the wfg staff members, or what may be more sensible, by the top multiplayer. All that would need is the willingness of these players to communicate and someone who knows how to handle the technical side. Then every week, you could just get the newest version of the multiplayer mod and be up to date.

I found no major bugs. Minor things are: * Windows is offended that "publisher is unknown" and treats it as a security risk /wants to block the installation * Some strings are cut off in the summary page, because they are too long (language: German, afaik there is already a ticket for this) * The orientation of the starting CC seems to be different from a23? I had in mind that is was previously always facing toward the starting camera position. This is no longer the case (not sure if this is intentional, or if it just depends on the map)

Well, that is surprising. i tried some random songs from https://trac.wildfiregames.com/browser/ps/trunk/binaries/data/mods/public/audio/music retro me Celtica.ogg retro me In_the_Shadow_of_Olympus.ogg retro me Land_between_the_two_Seas.ogg retro me Harvest_Festival.ogg dont work. i.e when i type them in it switches to this song on repeat without any 8 bit sound. retro me off takes me back to the normal soundtrack. And retro me 0_8Bit_Bonus_Track.ogg plays an 8 bit song, but now that i think abut it probably only because it is 8 bit in the first place. So retro me just switches to the named song (in a23b) which seems to be the expected behavior form this ticket https://trac.wildfiregames.com/ticket/4677

probably unrelated, but i was looking a few times at the progress in trac in the last weeks and often get a 503 error, saying that the service is unavailable due to capacity problems. Is this normal for trac or is there just that much traffic going on? / or is it just my problem? -

According to wikipedia there are quite a few examples of women fighting on the battlefield. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_in_ancient_warfare#2nd_century_BCE So why not make a certain percentage of fighters female. I mean we do have 15 variants of a mace

really awesome mod I think the especially the overlay for the units that are currently produced can be a big help if you are not a pro player, so you don't forget to keep producing more. Therefore my only feedback is that you might want to change the title of this thread, because i briefly looked over it here in the forum and also saw one of @mysticjim videos and just thought that this mod is only a nice addition if your watching a replay or if you're spectating. (And not that you can also use it while playing)

Not sure if you are looking for more suggestions for your mod, but something i always wish that the game would have is an overview of the units or tecs that are being produced/ researched at the moment, so you dont have to check your control groups or every few seconds to see if they are idle. Something like this: (upper right corner) I was always wondering if am the only one for whom this might be helpful. But anyways, really great mod. It does enhance the gameplay quite a bit.

ha, yes i do. And i have tried it just now, when i disable the mod, the post processing artifacts are gone. The GLSL flickering on the other hand is still there. So at the end it only seems to be a problem with the intel gpu. But i look forward to trying the new version of autociv when it is finished

Thanks that was the problem indeed. I had to force windows to use the right GPU. My mistake was to assume that it would automatically choose the NVIDIA for games. Still odd that the built in card has these problems.

Hello everyone, im experiencing some graphic problem when i enable GLSL & post processing in the latest A 23 build 21935. The enabeling of GLSL leads to a flickering black bar at the edge of some ground textures (in the left of the picture) And post processing leads to the particles that can be seen in on the rigth side of the picture. I suppose this is only an issue of my graphic card, but when i search for driver updates it seems that i am up to date and that there are non available. So is there maybe a fix for that or some settings that i have to change in my sytem? I can also create a ticket on Track if this is preferred, but since i haven't found a similar problem here on the forum, i thought this might help someone else who is experiencing these issues and is looking for an answer here. I am using a Lenovo ideapad 700-15ISK with win 10 home Version 10.0.19041 Build 19041 Prozessor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6300HQ CPU @ 2.30GHz, 2304 MHz Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M thx in advance. i tried setting my laptop to maximum performance and but im not sure if it helped that much. I still loose connection to the lobby from time to time. And if i host a game and that happens, most of the time the game still disappears from the current game list. But i havent been playing this much the last days, so i can propobly report more after next weekend.

Hello everyone, Latly i began to play games in the multiplayer lobby, mostly with a friend of mine & an additional ai to support him as he just started playing. Most of the time that works good, i figured out how to open a port on my router ect. and i can host the game. But it happend now several times that about one hour in the game suddenly i get the message that my friend left the game. And when i then pause the game to give him time to rejoin and open the lobby window, there is the messge "the connection to the lobby was lost" and i cannot find the game anymore in the list of games that are played at the moment. So we have to abort the session and start a new one. So i would really like to know how to fix this issue, before i try to join ranked games, because i read here that it is very annoying to everyone when some leaves a ranked game. There is no error window popping up when that happens, so i cannot tell you the error code, and also the game dont crash. I am still in the game & can see what happens in the lobby, but the game dissapeared from the list. So the only thoughts i have on why this happens is either a bad internet connection of my friend, which would mean i dont have to change anything, or maybe something with the fact that i get a new public ip from my internet provider from time to time which may mess up the connection in that moment? So what do you think? i would be happy for some tips. Greetins maroder
