  1. For how to install maps read trac.wildfiregames.com For a list of community's map you can look https://github.com/cwrtl/community_maps/blob/master/readme.md To install these search in the mod dawnloader in mainmenu -> mods
  2. Given that is probably lost maybe try it to do again, I would play it.

  4. I think for now @Unknown_Player should decide based on who he thinks are the best players on the room. Rating and statistics points can be gamed too easy. I would recommend to base decision based on data only when you have more data to contrast with it (e.g minimum 10 games).
  5. Clouds shadows could be faked as a moving texture mapped in the ground / models etc...

  9. I'm late to the discussion and seems stanislas69 and wowgetoffyourcellphone have said all there is to it for atlas (btw I didn't know about the copy/paste XML, seems cool) maybe a presets list can be added with relative ease as it would work similar to the copy/paste.

  13. Pls, I always enjoy reading your input but I don't want to start yet another kilometric discussion :). Let's enjoy the map.
  14. Very true, true I started with that in mind but somewhere down the line of eating cookies and typing furiously I the spaghetti code slipped through the cracks and made it into the map code. The map in the image is large size. Tested once. No slope constraint but all trees should be reachable (maybe some at the most top of the volcano no but anyway ....). But those functions with deprecated code are very handy for repetitive placers like mines, stone, food, ...
  15. @coworotel yes/no. I already saw it happen while I was doing the map, I don't think is really a dealbreaker. So yes, intended.
  16. Your ideas are nice but would be hard to code it right with the current map and I'm not up to it ... maybe in some future map.

I was looking for this kind of look image ref: http://www.traveller.com.au/top-10-tropical-cruise-islands-gr4my5 Part of what defines an island as such is having water around it, downplaying it seems like losing part of the charm of the map. My take is that players will have the possibility of having naval battles or attack from the ground. Not much can be done, the volcano must be there and will take space from the map yes or yes.
  19. @Scarecrow remember, practice is the road to perfection. Keep improving & enjoy it and more people will see your efforts ... if that is what you want.
