  1. That would be a quite interesting mechanic for a harbour...It would be cool to have a carthaginian scenario with the massive harbour though...
  2. This guy is a serial liar. I suscribed to the "age of kings heaven" forum, and it seems he has stolen lots of material from age of empires 2 modders too...I think his nickname is Enkeli.
  3. So it is in the editor? I think it should be available in the main game too...
  4. I wondered if there was a chance to see this special circular harbour in the game one day? http://s173.photobucket.com/user/purepics/media/0AD/0ADcartdockouter04.jpg.html Judging by the picture, It looks that it has already been made, but I can't remember having seen it in the editor...
  5. Why not just "Mercia"? Sounds good to me...
  6. I think it would also be good to give experience to citizen units when they attack buildings, plus increase the veterancy rate which is too slow for me...maybe this would counterbalance the overuse of champions in the game...
  7. That's one frank answer, thank you! I don't agree with your reason though. Because the fact that religion was used to drive the attention of masses doesn't necessarily mean that it was of no use in battle. Many armies in campaign would use sacrifices and divination to try to read the omens and make their decision whether to fight or not...or where to strike, or make sure that the gods were on their side...
  8. Exactly! We need a Tophet where a gigantic Moloch in bronze would receive the infortunate children in offering: http://imgur.com/gallery/FBxTd
  9. The idea's not bad at all, though I like the current walls. I'm looking forward to seing your new wall models
  10. I didn't see it like that, but it could be interesting too.
  11. You made a point, my system is not the best, but I'd like to keep the idea of sacrifice. It could have an area effect of healing, or give invulnerability to a hero for a limited amount of time...or have a totally different effect, like reduce the time construction of buildings...what do you think?
  12. The CC sketch is beautiful! I wish it would be the actual greek CC, with an Athena statue for the athenians. I don't think it would fit the thracians though, as they were considered barbarians by the greeks...
  13. Well,I do appreciate your concern and commitment towards the forum rules, and I'm sorry for having trespassed on this forum, but while you were at it, you could have shared your thoughts about my idea? Or is it completely boring?
  14. I'd like to know if a new mechanism could be implemented in the game. I think it would emphasize the role of the priests in late game. My idea is to create a technology in temples for the last age, that enables priests to make a sacrifice with an animal, and that sacrifice could heal a unit that's far away on the battlefield, which means outside the healing range of a priest. It could be done like this: one click on the priest, then right clik on the sheep/cattle, and right click on the unit you want to heal (could be a hero in mortal danger): my idea is that the unit would be instantly and completely healed. So I've got a couple of questions: 1/ Do you think it's a good idea? 2/ Is it possible to implement such a feature?
  15. I have another two civilizations proposal for Part 1: The Anuradhapura Kingdom (Sinhalese from today Sri Lanka): timeline: 377BC to 1017AD, and The Chola dynasty (Tamils from Southern India): timeline : 300BC to 1279AD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anuradhapura_Kingdom https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chola_dynasty You can see my post about Sinhalese Kingdom in the Millenium Mod discussions, for those interested
  16. Well, I know it's a small kingdom, but it's got significative and interesting traits: it's the first buddhist kingdom in all Asia, and remained so for centuries, and it lasted roughly 1 300 years (377 BC - 1017 AD). Few other empires or kingdoms have achieved the same prowess. It's been in relations (commercial and political) with India since the time of Ashoka (the mauryan emperor), China, Khmers, Ptolemies, Greeks, and Romans. Now I understand it's not as famous as other political powers of its time, but it was a power recognized by other nations, and powerful enough to defend itself, and even make some offensives on the asian continent (Burma, and South India for example). It has developped specific architecture traits, and irrigation and pool network unrivalled by other asian nations for centuries. Of course, I understand your point, because you've got your list of civilizations, and you obviously didn't think of adding this kind of civ, but I thought it could be an opportunity to give life to an original, and wrongly forgotten civilization: one that has never been introduced before in an RTS game (I know there are others)... I will discuss about this civ in the topic you showed above (though there have been no news since a year?) I'm not in a hurry, I hope someday, someone will be interested to work on it Maybe in a mod of its own...
  17. Well, tell me what you need in this doc, and I will try my best to meet the requirements. Maybe other people have some knowledge on this civ too. In terms of buildings, I have lots of material, the difficult part in the units, mostly the special units. I know they used extensively war elephants and mercenaries from South India...I will search for more specific information.
  18. I've got this idea since my mom's from Sri Lanka I've recently read a book about Sri Lanka's history, and I found it so interesting that I really would like to see if someone can make something of it in the game. Here's what I've got as a preliminary research: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anuradhapura_Kingdom https://sirimunasiha.wordpress.com/about/military-history-of-sri-lanka/ The wiki page seems correct to me, at least from what I've read in the book. Here's the book: https://books.google.fr/books?id=PWbRAqsIJgIC&printsec=frontcover&hl=fr#v=onepage&q&f=false
  19. Yahoo! What can I say? You're in shape these days...
  20. I like your last picture, Lordgood. For me, your revamped building set is better than the existing one. It's more distinctive from the Gauls, than the current one. I don't if the changes will be accepted or not, but I vote for it!
  21. Ok, I only suggest a little modification to make the existing mauryan palace a little more imposing
