  1. So here's the tomb of Amphipolis: http://www.historyofmacedonia.org/AncientMacedonia/MacedonianTombAmphipolis.html There are some mosaics and nice doors, but I don't think it could be convenient for a wonder...
  2. Really? I actually like the ziqurat very much. It's the best wonder of the game for me. However, you could keep it for Aristeia, as babylonian wonder.
  3. Well, the same can be said for the hanging gardens of Babylon, which has not been made by persians...but it's also important to strike imagination, and everybody has heard of Halicarnassus, as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world...it would emphasize the conquering aspect of macedonians who have, with Alexander the Great, conquered the Persian Empire, and seized its wealth, palaces, and wonders...I don't think there was anything as prestigious within Macedonia itself...
  4. Now that the seleucids have their own wonder, I think the mausoleum of Halicarnassus could be a nice one for the macedonians (not to mention that it is still proposed as their offical wonder on the 0ad website)...what do you think? Do you have other ideas?
  5. The sanctuary of Artemis Orthia seemed to have been a major place in terms of worship in Sparta: http://ulysses.culture.gr/2/21/211/21105a/e211ea16.html http://www.exploresparta.gr/tourism/en/the-sanctuary-of-artemis-orthia/ As there are few remains of the sanctuary, it would permit some liberty for 0ad artists.
  6. Maybe the silvershield champion unit could use a silver mask and a different helmet...it could separate them further from the goldenshield civ unit which has the same look only with a golden shield and armour...
  7. Would it be possible to use the old carthaginian wonder in the mod? http://lordgood.deviantart.com/art/Temple-of-Ba-al-Hammon-424987695
  8. Well, then bronze it is. But you know what I mean, no? A different, shiny colour would add something to the elephant line, I think.
  9. Hi there! What about giving a golden armour for the seleucid elephants? I've got a little picture here: We could also give the same skin for Seleucos Nicator, maybe with an additional warrior in the mahout? I think it would enhance the difference between mauryan and seleucid elephants.
  10. Very nice! Makes me want to have a walk on these fresh new tiles
  11. Blacksmith done! Congrats LordGood! I like the dock model you drew, so I don't have any modif suggestion, but maybe others would...
  12. I really think the mod deserves some nice compositions by Omri Lahav, though it will likely have to wait some time...
  13. niektb, I was referring to the post of Lion.Kanzen of last friday, and find the musics passable at best...(the music for egyptians already implemented in the game for aristeia is fine though).
  14. I find the new egyptian music very oppressive and stressful, nothing "soft and relaxing" like it is said...and the music for sea people has nothing special...I'm sorry to be that negative, but the musics in 0ad are so incredible that listening to this kind of music feels like going backwards...however if it's your choice, I respect it...
  15. Well, I called it a temple, not because of the columns, but because of the roof, and the pediment.
  16. Lordgood, will you keep the temple-like building for the dock? Personally, I like it...It gives a sense of luxury/refinement fitting the hellenistic period...
  17. I'm following the indian guy from the spoken sanskrit videos on twitter, but it seems he hasn't twitted since last december. Also, he only made three videos about sanskrit, so I don't know if he's still interested about it...
  18. Ok, I've no problem with that I tested the files you had already recorded, and it sounded a bit weird, so maybe it can be improved. Also, there were no female voices.
  19. Here's a start for Pali speach Master/Lord : Sāmin Command : Āṇāpeti Certainly : Āma Ready : Uṭṭhāyaka Very well : Bhavati Attack : Akkamati Build : Kappeti Wood : Phālaka Hunt: Migavā Fisherman: Macchika Repair: Pākatikaŋ karoti Cultivate: Ākassati Mine: ākara Work: Abhisankharoti Heal: Tikicchati March! Abbhuyyāti! Butcher (killing cattle): Ghātaka Fight: Padahati All the verbs are in the infinitive, as I don’t know how to conjugate them.
  20. I've found this dictonary: http://dsal.uchicago.edu/dictionaries/pali/
  21. I understand your point now. You know, I've been wondering if sanskrit should be the language for the mauryans. Have you considered using Pali? It's the sacred language of Theravada Buddhism (used in Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka...) as opposed to sanskrit which is a sacred language for hinduism. Apparently the Buddha himself spoke Pali, and the Pillars of Ashoka had inscriptions in Pali (Ashoka converted to buddhism). It might not have been the only language of the mauryan empire, but probably a significant one. Now the problem is resource materials at disposal. I've found this method of pali: http://www.buddhanet.net/pdf_file/ele_pali.pdf It seems it's mainly focused on sacred and religious aspects. I will continue to dig on the internet in search for exploitable material, if you think it's worth a try.
  22. I'm sorry Lion.Kanzen, I don't understand the beginning of your sentence. Do you want me to record the sanskrit talking? Because I don't speak this language. But I could pronounce it maybe (my mother's from Sri Lanka, sanskrit sounds a little like sinhalese, though I don't speak it either )
  23. That's great news! But I don't know if he read my comment, that's why I thought someone like you or sanderd17 (being from the programming team) should contact him...
