  1. Yes, you're right about the numbers BUT whether it's 3000 BC, or 300 AD, ancient history is ancient history and middle ages is another period. Besides, civs like vikings and carolingians are closer to 1000 AD than 500 AD...
  2. I can understand the situation and the need to prioritize one mod in particular. However, I think the rise of the east mod is almost complete? And concerning the two other mods, as exciting as millenium is, I think that Aristeia is the mod closer to the original game in terms of historical scope: ancient history. Now that millenium has had two releases, Aristeia really deserves one, whether it is for this version, or for the next. But of course, it's up to you guys...
  3. I hope some people will continue to work on it, because I'm sure it would be my favorite mod (I really like the bronze age).
  4. I think there used to be a release of aristeia with Egypt (new kingdom). Will someone make a release for alpha 20?
  5. That's fantastic! Progresses are fast! I can't wait for the real thing! So now, what's more to add? A market, a dock, and a blacksmith, and of course the walls (which were already done?) I think that's it...
  6. Thank you for the article! Very interesting indeed. Do you think it's feasible?
  7. I'm really looking forward the completion of a full seleucid building set! Also, I don't know if anyone has a better idea of what should be the future wonder of the seleucids? I thought something like this would be good: http://ageofempires.wikia.com/wiki/File:WonderGaia.png It would need more natural elements like some trees and flowers, but that's pretty much what I imagine.
  8. Any progression in this task? I'd like to hear different languages in the game, but I bet it's not easy to research for the right expressions and pronounce it correctly afterwards. Anyway, I hope after greek and latin, we'll be able to hear sanskrit soon
  9. Thank you, Lion.Kanzen. I will try it.
  10. Well I did like you in your screenshot, and it worked! Seems like I had to create a han-china file within the mod file before putting the game files in it. Thank you! However, I still don't know HOW I can take a screenshot I know...I'm a newbie...
  11. I'd like to but I don't know how to do it.
  12. Well, the mod doesn't show up in the mod selection. As I had previously installed the millenium mod, I removed it in case it would conflict with ROTE, but the mod still didn't show up.
  13. I'm sorry but it doesn't work for me (the installation)...
  14. I wonder why the walls have not been implemented in alpha 20? There were just perfect.
  15. Updated my graphic pilots. Seems to have worked
  16. I've got a little bug here. I can't build a roman fortress with the GSL on. The graphics don't show up, there are only straight, blurry lines. When the GSL is off though, the fortress shows up. Is anyone experiencing the same thing?
  17. Awesome! Congratulations for the release! I will test it soon, but right now I have to go to bed
  18. Exactly! This is brilliant! Thank you feneur! However I need to learn to use this scenario editor
  19. About that, is somebody working on the second part?
  20. Well, it was merely an opinion from an aesthetics prospect. I liked this building, it was obviously too small to fit as a wonder, but it would look good in the centre of a city. Then I thought about giving it some usefulness, so I came up with the aura thing. Still, the building exists, and is beautiful, so I think it should appear somewhere...
  21. Yes, thank you Lion Kanzen for your link. SeleucidKing, unfortunately, I'm not very knowledgeable about the gauls, but I know Vercingetorix and Brennus who went to Rome. As for the ptolemies, yes Cleopatra was unavoidable. In conclusion, I think we're not going to see Caesar in the game
  22. Ok, Lion Kanzen, I understand, but it's strange then to have Cleopatra and Vercingetorix, and no Caesar. Thank you niektb, though I'm not extremely knowledgeable in Roman history, I knew that much plus my question was why "the man who called himself Caesar without being one" is absent of the game?
  23. Sorry to be a noob, but what is SVN? Is it downloadable?
  24. I'm talking about THE Caesar, the first one, conqueror of Gaul: Gaius Julius Caesar. I don't think he's in the game.
