  1. Could you open a topic or a Trac ticket with a screenshot? Also please provide all the information you can (see http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/ReportingErrors). I think we never heard about this bug.

  4. Yes, but we don't care much about modern times: for instance for Romans we use Villa for the farm, even if a Villa is a big house for rich Romans (and the most likely meaning people will think of).
  5. Those are modern words taken from Sanskrit. Gotra has several meanings in Sanskrit, one is the one I quoted above, another one in "family, clan". Ancient languages have a lot of those polysemic words, and the modern words derived from them use only out of all the meanings. BTW: You can see the "Origins" sections of the very wiki page you just gave me.
  6. They are translated, but translators usually keep the same name. We want to allow them to use a translitteration in their own scripts if they need to.
  7. Hi! Thanks for the suggestion. It's not currently possible to change the strings in the game because we froze the texts to prepare for the release of a new version of the game. I looked into your suggestion. The problem is that the building is actually not a slaughterhouse, it's a corral. However, you're right about wanting to remove the religious meaning. So I propose to use "Gotra" (गोत्र) which according to the Monier-Williams is a "protection or shelter for cows, cow-pen, cow-shed, stable for cattle, stable (in general), hurdle, enclosure".
  8. The problem is that the Windows order is the opposite from most Linux window managers and GUIs. So there is no "canonical" order as you seem to believe. We chose the "Esc <-> first button" behavior because it's easier to program (this choice works with any number of buttons without changing the code) and now we're trying to be consistent everywhere. EDIT: There is a mistake in the ticket description though, you are right about that.
  9. You have to press Enter after setting the value to 0 and before clicking OK. This is a known bug that annoys a lot of people.
  10. I'd really like a commands.txt for the second one, which is a UnitAI problem (not a pathfinder problem) I can't manage to reproduce.

  12. I also get this problem occasionally but since a really long time and I always assumed something was wrong with my driver. You should create a Trac ticket.
  13. I would lean towards Syllepsis, because I'm afraid people would think we added a new Semitic faction if we go with Semitae.

  15. This sounds like a valid alternative. After looking in my dictionnary the correct form seems to be σύλληψις. That would give Syllepsis (or Syllēpsis) after translitteration.
  16. Maybe "Semitae" (plural, "paths") then? I like that proposal but I'm not sure the new pathfinder is the best thing to highlight gameplay-wise (capturing would make more sense).
  17. The name of the map in the gamesetup won't be the filename, but the name defined inside Atlas. If you forgot to change it it will be "Unnamed map" or something like that.

  19. I think that units in battle (especially ranged ones) will have the same problem as animals (http://trac.wildfiregames.com/ticket/3405) so I'd like to fix that before looking at your commands file, it might be the same problem. But thanks for reporting

  21. I pushed an important change to the unit motion that should get rid of all "stuck unit" cases. Please give me feedback If everything works fine I'll test formations to see if they can be reenabled, I understand this is a must-have for players.
