  1. It would make farm placement easier and faster. I never like the way my farms end up.
  2. Diminishing returns also requires more micromanagment than gatherer count (which can be done once and forgotten about). I'm not a big fan of micromanagment anyway.

  4. It's mainly the graphics you can't update. There are exceptions where you can update the graphics, but those are so rare they are not really worth considering. In some laptops, you can't even upgrade the ram or hard drive anymore.

  6. I think the other side of her face is probably too shadowed/dark for the smaller icon version. Other than that, great work.

  8. I can confirm that the SVN version appears to be broken currently. That's always the risk of using the dev version.
  9. If you don't have much land inside your walls to farm, then you won't produce enough food to survive the attacks even with infinite farms. If you do have a lot of land, then you should be able to last for awhile. It's really the gather speed that matters most for balance purposes.
  10. Would be really nice if we made the new unit animations in Blender so we could edit the source files easily.
  11. I do think auras should have some sort of visual indicator (could be turned off in the settings). I forget that they are even there most of the time and have no idea how far the effect reaches or how much it actually changes the statistics. Performance improvements are important, as always. Other than that, I like your list.
  12. Players that use SVN should be at least a little more technically inclined, so they should know that they need to update and recompile right before playing. There is always a chance that a change was just added that could cause an issue, but that's just the nature of it. Perhaps we can make a way for the host to verify that everyone is on the same revision. They can always ask everyone in the pregame chat, but an automated way might be nice. Separate chat rooms for SVN and official should mostly be adequate.
  13. Do note that if you use the SVN version for multiplayer (even through the lobby), all other players must be updated and using exactly the same SVN revision number as well. If you have the SVN version you cannot play multiplayer with anyone using the official downloaded install. (Well, there are some exceptions, but those are edge cases...)
  14. I think he was just noting that the adjective is located after the noun, as is common in Spanish but not common in English.
  15. I like the art direction of the Ptolemies. There are a few places I might slightly tone down or remove some colors, but certainly nothing major. [Edit] I certainly don't want to imply that you should remove too much color. I do think the different colors work better for them overall.
  16. I think the original argument for such content was greater historical accuracy, but there are a lot of other mature topics we aren't going to feature even though they may be accurate. I don't feel the game would suffer if these things were omitted. I still feel that sort of stuff is best handled by a mod pack.
  17. A setting for resolution would be nice, especially if it could be combined with fullscreen mode. Running 720 on a 1080 monitor would improve performance while still allowing a decent sized screen (ex. 1080 running as 720 on a 15.6 in laptop).

  19. Yes, let's make sure we archive all .blend files. It would be a shame to lose the ability to edit those models / animations in the future.
  20. I did not realize that we stored Blender files in the art SVN. I thought that was only used for concepts / large reference files. Good to know though.
