  1. That is why the other alternative is to regulate it with population capacity. In many games the cav usually costs 2 capacity.
  2. Spamming happens due to many circumstances, a snowball effect of CS, a product of citizens being soldiers and collecting resources. Therefore they can also build barracks, therefore they can create more CS to collect more resources. Another problem in my opinion is the population cost of the units, a horseman = a foot soldier, what changes is the resources, but when you reach the middle is pointless. At that stage, 10-20k of wood and food are already reached. It's easy to spam anything that costs wood and food, as well as getting metal through bartering(In case of not having metal mines).
  3. All this explains why they destroyed my spearman and swordman + range units armies and then I trained a sword cav battalion and destroyed the opposing army, even with Astharthe cav+ hoplites(Carthaginian champ cav).
  4. Infantry are supposed to be able to scale walls and enter through tower doors, speaking to how battles worked in ancient times and medieval.
  5. It is unreal that a horse rider can take a fortress. The capture rate or capture power should be reduced dramatically.
  6. It doesn't matter, it is not important at this stage, the topography must be done first.
  7. The first criteria must be gameplay. The second performance. The third beauty. The fifth... originality.
  8. The first thing is to create the size and topography. Do you have a reference for the biome?
  9. Yes but I need to know the size of the map and the details besides the city and the enemies.
  10. Always imagine the dialogues of a campaign like this. I can't say it was my idea, but to use the styles of MMORPGs to use them in an RTS.

  12. Se ve increíble Trompetin! Now we just need to add the triggers(menu) to the editor, Community-made single player content is needed.
  13. https://cooljugator.com/etymology/en/ghost#:~:text=English word ghost comes from Proto-Indo-European *ǵʰisd-%2C Proto-Germanic,later Proto-Germanic *gaistaz (Mind. Spirit%2C ghost. Terror%2C fear.) Ghost is nice word especially for northern Europe.
  14. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psyche_(psychology) Another synonymous word is Psyche. The basic meaning of the Greek word ψυχή (psyche) was "life".[3] Although unsupported, some have claimed it is derived from the verb ψύχω (psycho, "to blow").[4] Derived meanings included "spirit", "soul", "ghost", and ultimately "self" in the sense of "conscious personality" or "psyche". In Book VI of Virgil's Aeneid, the hero, Aeneas, travels to the underworld to see his father. By the River Styx, he sees the souls of those not given a proper burial, forced to wait by the river until someone buries them. While down there, along with the dead, he is shown the place where the wrongly convicted reside, the fields of sorrow where those who committed suicide and now regret it reside, including Aeneas' former lover, the warriors and shades, Tartarus (where the titans and powerful non-mortal enemies of the Olympians reside) where he can hear the groans of the imprisoned, the palace of Pluto, and the fields of Elysium where the descendants of the divine and bravest heroes reside. He sees the river of forgetfulness, Lethe, which the dead must drink to forget their life and begin anew. Lastly, his father shows him all of the future heroes of Rome who will live if Aeneas fulfills his destiny in founding the city.
  15. Pneuma (πνεῦμα) is an ancient Greek word for "breath", and in a religious context for "spirit" or "soul".[1][2] It has various technical meanings for medical writers and philosophers of classical antiquity, particularly in regard to physiology, and is also used in Greek translations of ruach רוח in the Hebrew Bible, and in the Greek New Testament. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pneuma#:~:text=Pneuma (πνεῦμα) is an ancient Greek word for,Hebrew Bible%2C and in the Greek New Testament. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afterlife
  16. By the way we need that AoE mechanic. I remember a video of Fork AD testing this mechanics.
  17. Or inside a building. Someone had already proposed getting rid of units in that way. What worries me is the exploits and the balance.
